| I hope it's ok to post this. I was reading a memoir of Wellington and this was there. Read carefully. :D My eyes nearly popped out. O_O
In 1830, I met him at Heaton and at Lord Salisbury's, on the occasion of the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester railroad. It was an evil time. I was Secretary at War, and in intercourse with him as such. He sent for me to his room and showed me a letter he had just received denouncing the name and address of an individual in Manchester who intended to assassinate him. He said, " I never neglect and never believe these things." After some discussion it was agreed between us that instead of going direct to Lord Salisbury's, I should take Manchester in my way, and investigate the matter. The (name of the) Borough Reeve, I forget, but Lavender, of Bow Street notoriety, was head of the police, and with some difficulty I ferreted out him, R. Sharpe, whose establish- ment we had visited the day before, and who had much to do with local arrangements at that time, and the Borough Reeve.

| I made a macro which, it has been suggested, might be welcome here, since it stars a certain rifleman. It follows a format found on ontd_startrek - describe how awesome a character is, in capslock, using as much crudity and vulgarity as possible. Warning: Crude sexual references, and lots and lots of swearing. ( GQ Rifleman under the cut ) | |

| A rather odd fic which might draw some interest, written anonymously for a challenge on another community some months ago. Title: "Truth" Rating: 15 Pairings: Sharpe/Wellington, Sharpe/HC Summary: 1810 in the Peninsula. The General marks the anniversary of a death. Author's Note: Originally written for the showthecolours KinkMeme. Prompt; Any established male character turns out to be a woman in disguise. WARNING: Major character death, and slight spoilers for Sharpe’s Havoc. ------- Read more(There are other AoS stories on the same page which may be of interest, but none of them specifically from the Sharpe fandom.) | |

| Aid and ComfortSharpe: Richard Sharpe/Jack Spears, NC17, 5775 words. Summary: Even an honourable man sometimes finds temptation difficult to resist. This story is set within the events of (and is completely spoilery for) Sharpe's Sword. I am grateful for the aid (and comfort) of the_stowaway, who reminded me of the delicious Sharpe/Spears subtext in this episode, let me steal all her best ideas from the plotbunny I still hope she writes eventually, fixed all my canon and period goofs, and made lots of excellent suggestions including the one that sparked my train of thought leading to the title, which is of course from the British Treason Act 1351. Any remaining errors are mine. The story is on my website. If you feel moved to comment (and I will be delighted if you do!) I would prefer comments go here on the post in my own journal. | |

| It's gone midnight over here. Someone tell me why I am up this late finishing fic? Why? Title: "Gloves" Rating: 18 Pairings: Sharpe/Wellington, Harper, Rossendale Summary: Sharpe’s Regiment; Sharpe’s attire causes a stir. Author's Notes: For the look_sharpe June Picture Prompt. Because I have a thing for Sharpe’s gloves in Regiment, and you must know by now that my attention is often caught by odd things. I also admit to unintentionally taking a tiny bit of inspiration from sylvene for this... You’ll see what I mean. And sorry if this seems not entirely natural in its flow - I haven't written smut for a quite a while. ------- ( Read more... ) | |

| Title: Sharpe's Demon Crossover: Sharpe/The Prophecy Pairing: Lucifer/Sharpe Rating: NC-17 Author: Alex Word Count: 1500 Warning: Whimsy. Beta: the always excellent kimberlite. Disclaimer: No profit made, no harm intended. Note: My final contribution to sons_of_gondor's Reflections: Fifty Days of Sean. Summary: Some souls are more stubborn than others. Sharpe's Demon | |

| Title: Newly ForgedAuthor: Galadriel ( caras_galadhon) Pairing: Sharpe/Harper Rating: PG Archive: Lothlorien and sons_of_gondor. Feedback: Always appreciated. Disclaimer: I may march over the hills and far away alongside Richard Sharpe, but Bernard Cornwell, the lucky, lucky man, owns the rogue, not me. Summary: As Sharpe is lost to his wounds and fever, Harper resolves to make a sword worthy of his Captain. Notes: Written for the seans_50 May Film Challenge. I chose to go with Sharpe's Sword as inspiration, since it's been far too long since I wrote about the boys on campaign. Predictably, I'm late to the party, and sliding in at the last minute, so we'll see if this even makes the May deadline cut-off. *crosses fingers* (ETA: It did!) Many thanks to savageseraph for the fantastic beta, and the title itself. (The blade would be sharp, as sharp as its namesake...) | |
