    Time Event
    11:21a
a kind reminder of the comm rules
Specifically as it has to do with drama and negativity.

I don't expect anyone to be perfect. I've certainly ripped a few people new ones here and there when I was peeved about something.
But if you see drama, a lot of negativity, off-topicness, whatever, please resist the urge to reply and tell them that they're being asses. Just let me know about it. I don't know what it is about troublemakers and how they must be able to *smell* when I'm away from the computer for 24 hours or more, but it's uncanny.

I do read every post on here, but I usually don't read the comments unless there's a lot of them and I'm making sure there's nothing unnecessary going on. I also usually read them not too long after they've come out, so sometimes drama happens after I'm already past the post. So I do very much appreciate you all letting me know when there's crap going down.

We have a great community here, and part of what makes it great is that the drama is pretty minimal, especially considering how very personal and ego-related the topic is. There are a few long-term posters who are pretty hard and heavy with the negativity and humble opinions sometimes, but I do say something to them when it's obviously a problem (and not just about me and my own values and opinions). We seem to get in a minor tiff every few months...big deal. The rest of the time we're golden. I try to do my part to keep it that way, but the community is all about you.
And we don't want drama. We want hair!

With that in mind, show off your hair! )

    Hello~
This is my 1st time posting, so here's one pic taken late Dec 2007 so it is a tad longer now.

    Blonde dying
So my hair was light and beautiful blonde until I became a teenager. Now it is naturally greyish and dark and disgusting. It also looks terrible with my skintone. So since then I've started dying it. I used to use natural instincts, but last time is absolutely FRIED my hair. Changed the mixture I assume. And so the next time I dyed it using some other generic chemical-y whatever. Who knows the brand. It burned my eyes and lungs though, and of course my hair as well (Oh, but the color was killer)

So now my roots look terrible and I need to redye my hair, but I want to use something nicer. Mucky greyish dark blonde to honey blonde! Any suggestions?

I know dying is terrible, but I look terrible with my natural color, and I would prefer not to be a brunette/redhead. I just don't like the idea on me.

I'm updating my not so great process...
I don't really feel a difference...no wonder since it has only been 1 month since I started this
process thing-y...I'm telling you - waiting for your hair to grow is not fun.
I now sometimes wear my hair open. Probably just because it takes me so much time to
figure out what to do with it so that i'd like it.
I think tomorrow i'm putting in some extensions 'cause i still hate my so much !

    Nagi Noda hair hats
You remember that creepy poodle workout video? Yeah that one.

Well, it seems that the artist behind it came out with some hair pieces, meant to be worn as hats, in the shapes of animals. Like dogs and deer and such.

I do wonder how many people here could do this with their own hair. :)

Trying to grow my hair back : (

    Hi there ; )

Was wondering if anyone had remedies or tips to help me grow my hair faster? Last weekend I went to the hairdresser with long hair past my bra strap (you can see how long my hair was in some of my pics) and now I have a haircut like Victoria Beckhams and I hate it. I tried dealing with it for a week and then I went and got extensions and my hair looks heaps better now but I want MY hair back. I love my long hair so much and I even kept what the hairdresser cut off. Anyway, I will never be going back to the hairdresser I went to because she screwed it up then I went to another hairdresser the following day and he screwed it up even more. I just figure that I can't get my hair cut in America I have to wait til go to Australia to get a good hair cut and where the hairdresser actually listens. Ever since I have been here the hairdresser hasn't done what I have wanted or I have to go back to have them fix something. I know its not me because back hom in Australia they just get it right. I need to find a good hairdresser here in the states that understands my goals. But anyway if anyone has any tips on speeding the growth of my hair up please, please share them with me. Until my long locks come back I guess its just gonna have to be extensions : (

    Peace and Love
