Poly-er than thou game While I was in London this past spring, someone told me about a really fantastic game they had played at Poly Day or some similar event.
It was called polyer than thou (iirc) and involved betting chips and guessing how many people had done something, or who had had the best or worst experience, or somesuch like that.
I'm planning on running an adapted version of the game at PolyCamp Ontario, and I'm hoping: (1) To get more info on how the game is run, what was good about it, and what was bad, and (2) To find out who invented the game so that I can give them credit.
Thanks in advance!

London Pride 2008 Your BiCon 2008 will be hanging around the Bi stall at London Pride this weekend, so whether you're marching in the parade, or just coming down for a nose around, come find us and say hello.
You'll be able to pick up a registration form there if you've not already had one, and team members will be available to answer any questions you might have.
We hope to see you there!

Wear Purple for Pride In just under a fortnight, on Saturday 5 July, it will be London Pride. As in the past few years, I'm organising a Bisexual London walking group who will be wearing purple for Pride. We'll be meeting 12-12:30 in Baker Street (more details when I have it), and it would be great to see as many people as possible on the march. Wearing purple is optional. We'll also have a stall in Trafalgar Square, so please drop in and say 'hi!' to us there if you're at the rally. If you can tear yourself away from Boris Johnson, Sandi Thom and Sade on the main stage, that is. | | Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008 | 3:55 pm [twiggy_j]

July in London. Hi people :) In July I’m working in London. I decided to go there because I need to improve my English, and because I’ve never been in this city. I happened to have a job opportunity, and now I’m trying to organize this travel. I’ll probably have some Italian acquaintances and friends there, but I’d like to meet new people. I happened also to be a bisexual – that’s why, having found this community, I’ve decided to write here. I’ll be in London because of job and language, but I’d like to find nice pubs and bars, maybe with someone who agrees with me about bisexuality. If anyone will have any spare time in July, and feels like meeting new people, I’m here.
(I don’t write in English on my LJ, therefore adding me will be a bit useless, I’m sorry. MSN will be more useful.) | | Sunday, May 25th, 2008 | 9:08 pm [danaeris]

Movie anyone? Hallo all. Remember me? I'm the Canadian who is visiting. Some of you may have met me at BiFest. Anyhow, I'm with Orange for my mobile, which means I get buy one get one free tickets on Wednesdays (or, half price each). And I haven't seen Indy or Iron Man yet. I'm wondering if any of you would like to join me this Wednesday for either movie? I'm thinking the Tottenham Court Road Odeon, but I'm flexible within zones 1-4. First person to respond gets to split the cost of a ticket with me; the rest of you will have to pay full price. That's all folks! Current Mood: bouncy | | Sunday, May 4th, 2008 | 6:51 pm [nitoda]

London Polyamory Meetup Group London Polyamory Meetup Group meets on Tuesday 6th May at The Blues Posts on Newman Street, off Oxford St. in the upstairs bar.
People foregather any time after six and you can stay until pub closing time if you wish. There's no need to arrive at any particular time, just drop in and stay as long as you like. Food is available if you arrive early enough - the kitchen often closes at eight so if you want a meal it's best to arrive before that.
I'll have to print out a picture of a parrot this time as one of my beloveds managed to leave our Polly Parrot on the train on the way home last month!
We've twelve Yes RSVPs and 6 Maybes at meetup.com currently so it's looking like a good turnout.
Hope to see some of you there. | | Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 | 7:23 pm [danaeris]

Hostel/Hotel for BiFest I've booked my bus ticket to London for BiFest this weekend. Weee!
Accommodation
Anyone want to go in together on a room for Saturday night near the BiFest location? Anyone able to recommend a non-sketchy hostel to stay at nearby? And, how late is the Tube open if I end up with a hostel not near BiFest's location?
Sunday - what's happening
I've decided to stay over Saturday night; my bus doesn't leave until 17:30. So, if anyone wants to make plans to hang out Sunday, I'd love company -- either to check out local tourist stuff, or alt community stuff. Let me know!

Would you like to help me with some research? Hello. I'm an undergraduate psychologist doing some research into what people think of different personality characteristics. If you fancy helping out, or finding out more, then please feel free to go to: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=hJ R9WT2IIUaV_2bqt_2ff_2flGLQ_3d_3d ( Link) or http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=py PFdVtFTdcAhcm7AcRCeA_3d_3d ( Link) and fill out a survey. You can quit at any time and your responses will be anonymous. (That's why I'm doing it at Survey Monkey rather than LJ). Please, Please only fill out one survey. The questions are the SAME on both, just in a different order in case the order they were randomly put in affects how people answer. Thank you for your help. | | Monday, February 11th, 2008 | 1:26 am [danaeris]

Visiting London Hallo. I'm a young bi, poly, kinky, pagan, geeky Canadian girl (well, I have US and UK citizenship too, but I grew up in Canada) who is coming to the UK this spring/summer. I'll be working in Bristol from mid-April until late May (although I imagine if I want to visit London for weekends or day trips that would be feasible), and then I'll be in London playing tourist / exploring the local community for about 14 or so days. * anyone have advice on hostels to stay in or avoid, and neighbourhoods that a gal of my predilections might gravitate towards? * anything interesting going on in the area between mid April and mid-June that might be of interest -- bi or poly events, meetups, etc.? Anything relevant to any of the other interests listed above? Thank you in advance! I'm looking forward to maybe (maybe?) meeting some of you!
