Hey everyone! Tonight marks the season premiere of the American Life on Mars. I just wanted to address a few things and make sure that everything is up-to-date.

First off, with the premiere of the show means icons, caps, news, and spoilers. here are some basic rules that you all can follow:

1: No spoilers! This is the most basic of all the rules. Basically, keep things under the cut until at least eight days after the episode premiere. Even after that, please be cautious with major plot spoilers, casting news, etc. This includes pictures people! Please put all spoilers, whatever form they may be, under a cut.

2: Keep things tidy! If icons are being posted, please put them under a cut if the number exceeds three. Caps are fine, but be wary of how it will affect the flist of other members.

3: Keep it legal! That means, please don't post begging for a download link or any of that hoopla. If you miss an episode, don't come asking out in the open. ABC.com usually posts it online sooner or later.

Or you could just lock.the.post. Shh!

4: Show your maturity. Don't pick fights, don't start ship wars, don't be inappropriate, and if posting fanfic or fanart, please rate accordingly! The MPAA ratings work best (G, PG, etc), but adult means adult wherever you are, so that will suffice. Place warnings for spoilers and disturbing content.

We are a small community now, but that might change dramatically. Please comment with an questions, concerns, or ideas for running this place as smooth as possible.

I will admit that the negative aspects of the first cast did send a shiver up my spine, but not only did we get a cast shakedown, but the new cast is full of impressive actors.

I was out of the country for July, and getting my feet back onto American soil took awhile to get used to, but here I am to answer questions, plus make this community what it needs to be for the series premiere on October 9th.

The new layout will work till the show airs and then perhaps we could do a competetion or such. I'll fix up a header, but I'm not what one would call the best, so let's keep it basic for awhile.

I know many of you are quite disappointed in the fact that there is a remake at all, but this is just a place for news to be kept separate from lifein1973.
