| Welcome to Life On Mars Icontest! |
Hello and welcome to Life On Mars icontest. This community offers a graphic contest every week on the theme of the famous BBC drama Life on Mars. Sam Tyler, 21st century policeman wakes up in 1973 after an accident. Is he mad, in a coma or back in time? This contest is for icons only.
A new challenge will be issued every week on a specific theme, character or episode. For each challenge you will be able to enter two icons, one with an picture chose by the mod, one with a picture of your own choice, as long as it meets the theme requirements. The winning icons will be elected by vote. Vote is open to members, whether or not they have entered the current challenge. Awards are given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and if more than 10 icons were posted for a challenge there will also be a special mention (mod's choice).

| Rules |
--1-- Two icons per contest, one with the pictue chosen by your Lord and Master mod, one with a picture of your choice in relation with the theme of the current challenge. You can enter only one of the two if you wish.
--2-- Unleash you creativity! Brushes, textures, colors and text are all good unless specified. Animation is only allowed in special animation challenges.
--3-- Your icons must meet the LJ icon requirements, that is be no more than 40k and size 100x100 pixels. Otherwise your work will be disqualified.
--4-- Comments on submission posts will be screened so your entry can remain anonymous. We ask you not to post your icon anywhere until the results of the challenge have been posted on the community. If you don't respect this rule your work will be disqualified.
--5-- Do not vote for you own icons, or your vote won't count.
--6-- To be valid your vote must contain 3 icons in order of preference for the chosen picture and the free picture separately, otherwise said two votes.
--7-- Everyone is welcome! Don't be shy if you have just begun, we all did!
--8-- To stay member of this community, please participate at least once a month. Otherwise you will be ejected. Be aware that you can become a member again at any time providing that you have enough time to respect this rule. |
| How to submit your icons |
Only members can participate. Submissions must be made to the post the challenge was given only, otherwise your icon won't be included in the vote post. Post your icon and the direct link to it under it.
