| About: | This is an mp3 sampling community with Lolita tastes in mind. This community is an open membership community, but all posts are forced friends only to keep the files active longer and to keep bandwidth down. Please follow the rules to keep things running smoothly, and enjoy!RULES NEW RULE: IF YOU'RE GOING TO REQUEST SOMETHING (which is fine), UPLOAD SOMETHING AND SHARE IT IN THE SAME POST From here on out, I'll probably delete "request" posts that don't follow this rule, if only because I don't want this to turn into a requesting community. It's a sharing community. So plz share if you want to receive. 1. No Obvious Popular Japanese Music. I'm lightening this rule a bit, since it seems like our members are capable of posting without filling the community with a bunch of tired jrock. Please note that if you have a song you think is distinctly Lolita and that everyone probably hasn't heard, please feel free to post it. Please try not to make an entire post full of Japanese music since I made this community in order to explore people's views of non-Japanese music that fits into the Lolita style, but feel free to slip one or two songs in if you must. Certainly DO NOT post obvious bands or artists like Malice Mizer, Moi dix Mois, Dir en Grey, Kana, X Japan....there is a large chance that 90% of the community has heard it already. If you're more interested in getting fixed on new Japanese bands and not broadening your musical horizons, I suggest you check out jcrack. 2. The music you post must be music that in some way inspires you to be Lolita. Post the playlist you use when you go out in your best outfit, post the music you were listening to when you designed that really awesome jumper, post the music that you listen to that inspires you to continue living your life as a Lolita. Just post music! Since this is based on your own feelings, it can be any kind of music as long as it directly ties back to Lolita in your minds. This can be classical, punk, metal, goth, pop....hey, post rap if thats the music that really makes you a Lolita. People will probably give you odd looks for it, but at least you're original :P 3. Yousendit.com is your friend Please use yousendit.com to share your files. If you want to host a song on your server indefinitely, mention that in the post and I'll allow it and stick the post in the memories section, but be wary that we use up A LOT of bandwidth here. You 10 Gigs a month will *dissapear*. 4. Flame and be banned. End of story. I'm not dealing with it. If you don't like a song someone posted, get on with your life. If you don't think a song is Lolita, great, that's you're opinion. But you don't have to be a bitch about it :P 5. Posting music videos is fine as well. If you're kind enough to upload your favorite music videos, this is perfectly fine! Just make sure they follow the same rules for mp3 posting. HOW TO POST: In the subject of the post, please put what type of Lolita you interpret your songs to be. The general types should be Gothic, Sweet, Punk, and Classic unless you think its something else. (Wa? Ero? ;D) Then, in the actual post write whatever you will and link to the songs. Feel free to explain why you think that a song is a certain type of Lolita music and why you like it. After your post is approved, you're entry will be tagged by Lolita type for easy browsing. We have an ongoing theme in this community! Basically, pick any song that really inspires you to design or create an outfit. Take pictures of yourself in the outfit and post them here (under a cut please!) and upload the song to share with us as well. Sounds nifty, right? ;D Please have fun and share your music!
