shoes
Does anyone else have issues with shoes? i've brought a pair off cosworx to wear with my wa lolita outfit ( which has now arrived) and after a small miscommunication saga i now have the right size, but i've found they are a little narrow and i cant get my foot in. perfect on lenght however. i'm a UK size 5 - 5.5. if i cant get them to fit i need to get some new ones and was thinking about some rockers. anyone know a good place to get some that will fit or know a good way to make shoes fit?

you could take them to a cobbler, they have special treatments and tools to make them larger/smaller :)
i'm about the same size as you and i got shoes from ling lam on ebay in the euro 39 and found them really comfy, also the material is a thin fake leather which will easily stretch for wider feet (i don't haev wide feet but wide calves and found the material to stretch enough round them)

i've found TUK shoes to be pretty wide, and if you get the ones with buckle straps on then you can add extra holes to make them go a little wider - but I have the opposite problem to you, my feet are always too narrow! so it may be that the TUK ones are just normal width.

I'd second the ling-lam recommendation too, the styles with lots of straps are super adjustable, and as saraclaudia mentioned, they are pretty soft so will stretch out a bit.

I work in a shoe shop that imports American styles - generally American "standard" width shoes come up narrower than British standard width. It sounds to me that you're probably a US 7-7.5 with a D width fitting rather than a B (which is the standard). I think the Ling_lam shop does different width fittings but you may just need a standard width if the material is soft as has already been mentioned. ^_^

You could prolly wear the shoes in a bit with your thickest socks on - most materials will give a little with wear - or you could take them to a cobbler as Saraclaudia mentioned. :)

I've recently ordered a pair of black leather rockers from 69th Department - http://xx69thxx.exblog.jp/ - I'll post a review of the quality and sizing when they arrive which might be useful to you. :) So far the company has been really nice to deal with~ they may be worth you having a look~

Wow I just ordered the same thing from 69th department! I wanted them quickly and didn't want to wait for Ling Lam to get around to it because they're all backed up with orders now. Plus I liked the idea of leather and higher quality for just a bit more money. I paid for them on 5 May so I'm just waiting now for them to arrive... *twiddles thumbs*

Great minds huh? X3 I shopped around a few places, was tempted by Double Decker, but went for 69th Dept in the end. Leather and real wood swayed me~

I paid for mine on the 10th and I did ask if they could speed up the order for me as I want them in time for the May expo. So time will tell if they get here on time~

Wow! I was hoping they would get here by then too O_O but not counting on it. Really I just want them before mid-June when I go on holiday. I haven't gotten an email yet that says it's been shipped out - I wonder if they just ship it without emailing?

Ooh I should ask them to hurry it up lol!

thanks you guys. wish id known that about the width before i brought them. researched the size comparison but didnt think the width would be much different

ok it turns out the shoes do fit my feet were a bit warm. *doh!* anyway i ordered some rockers for 69th aswell. anyone recieved theirs yet?
