I was working at my computer the other week, and my roomate was watching TV. It was some end-of-the-year Year's Best This & That in TV shows, when mention of Pushing Daisies caught my attention. The category was "Best American Accent by a non-American actor." Now I knew Anna Friel was English, but this was the first time I'd heard her normal voice. She's Northern, and she said that Northern catchphrase:

I am personally of the opinion that the two greatest programs currently on television are Pushing Daisies and Doctor Who. And so this really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
SPOILERS
-Pushing Daisies spoilers for "The Smell of Success" and also random non plot-divulging shots from all sorts of episodes - the general plot of the series is also given away, with spoilers from the first episodes ("Pie-lette").
-Torchwood spoilers for "They Keep Killing..." and the first episode
-Doctor Who shots taken from season 2 and 3, none of them very spoilery, except for maybe a shot from "New Earth", but even then, not really.
