McCain pulled a good one: He used the vagina card. I hope that people can see through that. |

[Aug. 27th, 2008|08:52 pm] |
Over at divka's journal, we discussed the merits of the design of 2012 Olympic Logo. I am interested in seeing what my f-list thinks. What do you think? Yay or nay?
The logo will be also featured in the following colors: If you are interested in seeing all the logos from 1896 through 2008, just click here.

I got a manicure and pedicure yesterday. This was the first pedicure I had ever had. I totally recommend it. It is very relaxing. I love the chairs they put you in. Total body massage.
Let me tell ya, there is a certain spot on my foot that when it's rubbed it makes me....*ahem* yeah...I really liked it. I told the woman giving my pedicure that it just tickled when she looked up at me.
It tickled alright...(But thats probably TMI though)
I am taking down all of my Michael Emerson stuff. I'm still a fan and I'm keeping everything I've acquired, but as an obsession, he just isn't doing it for me anymore. :(
Hmm. Wonder what should go up in it's place? hehe
Guess what comes out this Friday?
MAMMA MIA: THE SING ALONG VERSION!!!!
I am going to get hyped up on Yoohoo and Kit Kats before I go to see it! I cannot wait!!!!
Foot Orgasm Me getting a Pedicure

PS-I WANT TO BE NICOLE KIDMAN IN THE DEVIOUS MOOD THAT I AM USING. (Again...that is probably TMI) |

Keillor says that,
"America has paid a terrible price for one family's decision to take a boy out of the public schools of Midland, Texas, and send him off to Chutney or Amway or whatever his prep school was called, and then to Yale, where he picked up a permanent grudge against people who were smarter than he."
I think the problem is that many of our countrymen instead of looking up to those who are smarter and accept them as our leader, our countrymen look down on the smart ones and want to be lead by those who are either of equal intellect or even lower. I don't know about you, but I don't want someone who is dumber than I am leading me. The trouble is the current occupant, as Keillor calls him, does not have the smarts to be a leader and, frankly, Mr. McCain does not either. Let's face it, McCain was on the bottom of his class. Would you want to have the surgeon who was on the bottom of his class working on your heart bypass?

| I work with John Locke!!! |
[Aug. 26th, 2008|05:26 pm] |
I kid you not! Even though we are in orientation during the day shift, when we arrive at the hospital we find our name in the log book and sign in on our hired shift. So, this morning, I was scanning through the list to find my name and spotted the name Locke. I thought that was funny and looked to see what his first name is only to learn it's John Locke! Honest to God! Is that a riot or what? I don't know if he works on my unit, but he works my shift. I'm bound to meet him sooner or later. I just hope he's a LOST fan! If he's not, I feel for him! LOL Of course, I hope he's a Locke fan, too. ROTFL! I was talking to divka and said I should get him Terry's autograph! That would be a riot! I meet him for the first time and hand him this autograph and he's thinking, WTF? Who's this chic and what's she giving me? LMAO! |

| Selling books to coventioneers |
[Aug. 25th, 2008|02:39 pm] |
During the Democratic and Republican convention, bookstores are trying to maximize their profits. Here's an interesting article talking about just that. I was just tickled pink at what the Common Good Books had to say about whether they would display books on either the Democratic side or the Republican side. Common Good Books is owned by Garrison Keillor. He is a staunch Democrat, and his city is hosting the Republican convention. What should his bookstore do? Display books relating to Democratic views or books bashing Republicans. They solved it in a very diplomatic way. Read the article, or just glance down and look at the paragraph with the boldface large type.
