Community Profile

This community is meant to be a resource for those practicing, or seeking to practice a locavore lifestyle. You don't have to be an established locavore to join this community, and you don't have to know all the lingo or have read all the books. All you need is a genuine interest in local, sustainable farming, and local eating.

Your community moderator is ipsafictura, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, so there will be a good deal of local information for that area. However, local eaters from all over the world are invited to join and discuss the locavore movement and related items.

Community Rules:

1. Be respectful of other members, locavore is intended to be an open resource for everyone, regardless of their dietary habits and experience level.

2. Please do not post advertisements for other communities. It is fine to reference other communities as part of a post, or to note when you're cross posting, but posts that exist solely for promoting communities will be removed.

3. Please place images or large posts behind a cut.

4. Local information is welcome no matter the locality! If your post may be of interest to only a few members, you may want to put it behind a cut.

5. Recipes are welcome, but please keep in mind that this is not primarily a cooking community.
