Welcome to lj styles a place to ask questions and learn how to make your journal the way you want it to be..Your style.
No question is a stupid question but Please make sure you have read the LJ FAQ'S and you've also taken a look at the ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) howto Memory section which lists almost all the override codes you should need.
Basically I'v used the same rules as our sisiter community ljdesigners because their right on.

Rules:
- Let us know your ACCOUNT TYPE when asking a question. Sure, we can look on your user info, but this takes time.
- Be DECSRIPTIVE with what you're asking for. Give examples if you have them. This is not a layout request community this is a layout help community..so if your looking for a layout try some of my affiliates below.
- When posting complex discriptions, codes, big images, more than 3 small icons/images, please use the LJ Cut Code:

- Do not use MARQUEE tags in your posts. They're lame and they break some non IE browsers. Be courteous.
- Try not to ask QUESTIONS that were recently answered. Check the community and read the override sections almost all your answers can be found there as far as overrides go.
- If you have a problem with your style (paid/early/perm accounts) make the style PUBLIC and post the STYLE ID number.
Be kind, respectful and courteous.
Public Style Unwritten Law
- Public Styles: PLEASE BE POLITE! IF YOU FIND A PUBLIC STYLE YOU'D LIKE TO USE, ASK THE PERSON WHO DESIGNED IT FIRST. CHANGE THE GRAPHICS...OR ASK IF YOU CAN USE THE EXSISTING GRAPHICS ON YOUR OWN SERVER.
WE'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS IN THE PAST. Thanx.
- Also if you save a public style to your own list please put the name of the person who designed it in the title of the style.
For example #656743:Blue Boy:ibdreamy
That way people can't accuse you of taking credit for their public styles.
Just ask first please, this saves so much drama.
- Here is the Live journal Style Browser link..you will need to know the name of the user who's styles you are looking for. Just put their name in the text box and you'll see their style list.
You have to have a paid account on LJ in order for the style browser to work and you have to have a paid account to use public styles. Just another good reason to buy an account!

- Visit publicstyles for more public styles and public style makers. Follow their rules! Do not remove credit links. That is so uncool. Plus more then likely you will eventually be caught and embarrassed. Belive me. Host your own images.

- I'm not making free layouts at the moment because I just don't have the time but I do have a very large list of public styles that you can use as long as you give me credit and there are people who can do them for you for free, check out some of our affiliates below.
