The intentions of this community is for people who enjoy the art of writing and story telling(in all it’s forms) to mingle and to have a place to share their work/ideas with others like them. And is open for ALL skill levelsof writing .
- A place to discuss works of the art of story telling/ writing and your favorite authors/ or books.
- A place for sharing original/classic writings, Poetry, Haiku, Quotes, Scripts, Screenplays, Short Stories, Lyrics, Thoughts and Rambles.
- A place to ask for advice on technique or give advice when desired from other members. And learn about the ins & outs of writing in different genres.
- A place to inform others of writing opportunities you've heard of and want to share(i.e. writing classes, contests, workshops... etc.),
- A place to hopefully make new friends who share a common interest with you.
-To take part in writing excercises to help you grow as a writer and have fun doing it.

TOPIC OF THE DAY
A quick daily writing prompt will be given daily for everyone to comment on.
NEVERENDING STORY PROJECT
This is where members take turns writing a story. If you are interested please go here and read the guidelines.
GOT CHARACTER
Each member can create a fictional character and play along as them during posts that are geared toward these characters. If interested go here for details.
FRIDAY FREE FIVE
Every Friday there will be a post prompting you to let go whatever is on your mind at the time and free write for 5 mins about it .
MEMBER PORTFOLIO
Any time you post your original work it will be archived in the memories section under your name. So people can go and read just your work or for your use for easy reference.

How can you avoid getting yourself banned read below and make sure you understand. This community is meant to be light-hearted and fun and that’s the way it will be. We are always here for you, your ideas and concerns are welcomed. I really hope you enjoy this community, and I am always looking for ways to improve on it.

1. Please RESPECT one another. We all know the difference between constructive criticism and flaming and/or bashing a member/or their work. We do not expect you to like everything you read, but if you don’t like something, give your reasons in a polite and respectful manner. I will not give out warnings, I will just ban and delete.
2. This is not really a rule so much as it is a suggestion, but please try to leave feedback. You like feedback, right? Well, so does everyone else, and sometimes all it takes is a little encouragement to keep someone going/or to even get them started. The more you leave feedback, the more likely other people are to leave it for you. I urge everyone that comes in here to add something to the community, even if you don't want to write there are so many others ways to participate like leave a little line from your favorite poem, song, or story ….whatever, just try to be involved.
3. Put long works of literature behind live journal cut tags , we don’t want to kill each others friends pages.
4. No advertising or spamming of other communities allowed. There are other communities around just for that purpose.
5. Please warn in the subject if a piece of work you are posting has language or subject matter that may offend and use a lj-cut tag.. We will never censor your work, You may post them but just be nice and let everyone have the choice to read it if they choose to do so.
6. Please if you are posting works that are not your own give credit to whoever deserves it. Anyone who takes credit for someone esle's work will be banned. People work hard and alot goes into somes writing and you wouldn't want someone to steal your thoughts/work would you?
If you can’t follow these simple requests then maybe this community is not for you.
