| About: | This is an community for fans of L. J. Smith, author of such book series as The Vampire Diaries, Dark Visions, and Night World.
Almost any kind of discussion relating to the author is allowed, but we do, of course, have some basic rules:
Please stay on-topic. This means don't post quiz results or pictures of your dog or something. LJS is the topic, so talk about LJS. Thank you.
Don't ask about Strange Fate (the next Night World book). It's not out, but you can find the latest news about it here. Beyond that, no one knows anything. End of subject.
This community does not censor on the basis of content. However, since a lot of LJS fans are pretty young, I ask that anything you consider to be adult material be placed behind an lj-cut, and clearly labeled as being for mature readers. I'm not going to set strict moral standards or anything. Just use your own discretion.
Fanfiction is accepted and encouraged. Again, the almighty lj-cut is a must. To clarify, anything over 4 or 5 moderately sized paragraphs should be lj-cut.
Advertizements are allowed, provided that they are LJS-related. For example, you may promote your site, club, RPG, or offer to sell a copy of an LJS book or other LJS merchandise. However, please do not exceed more than one ad.
Also, please do not post queries asking for particular books. Many of the authors' readers are having trouble getting copies of out-of-print novels, and those who do have said books probably don't want to part with them, so please don't add to our collective frustration.
