LJ in Hindi
Hi folks,
I'd like to translate LJ to Hindi. I already sent a mail to Brad for this. In case there are others who're interested, we could work together.

Hey Alok,

My Hindi is pretty terrible so I probably wouldn't translate anything but how does one get Hindi script onto LJ in the first place?

It's not very difficult. Since I don't know what browser/os you're using, please have a look at Why can't I see the Hindi section? for details on reading and writing Hindi.

Good. Now, to get the ball rolling - setting up the Hindi translation community seems to be taking time. Perhaps our wails have not reached the powerful ears yet?

Dear Shail,
You have all the tools to do the job, and you are also a native Hindi speaker.
Just send a mail to Brad to give you permissions for the Hindi translation.

Hi Alok,
I wrote to Brad and he said Jesse will walk-me-through but I am still unaware how and who will add me to the Hindi translation team. Any idea?

ब्रॅड या जॅसी की डाक की प्रतीक्षा करें। 5 दिन में भी कुछ नहीं होता है तो एक बार फिर से डाक लिखें। यहाँ पर काम थोड़ी धीमे होता है, पर डाक आती ज़रूर है।
बहरहाल आपको यह प्रदर्शित करना होगा कि हिन्दी आपको मातृभाषा या मातृभाषा समान ही आती है, और आप अनुवाद कार्य को गम्भीरता से ले रहे हैं। उम्मीद है कि आपने अपने हिन्दी चिट्ठे का ज़िक्र कर दिया होगा ब्रॅड को।

बाद में हम हिन्दी अनुवाद समुदाय का अनुरोध भी कर सकते हैं।

It is a noble cause, and it would help thousands of other hindi users in the world.
