Ελληνικά - επιτέλους!

Τώρα μπορούμε όχι μόνο να δούμε τις σελίδες του LiveJournal στα ελληνικά, προσθέτοντας ?uselang=gr (ή &uselang=gr εάν υπάρχει κιόλας ? στο URL).

That's great fun! I've set it so that my livejournal is in greek now, and seeing the menus etc in greek is something that I find endlessly amusing.

I also rather like seeing work in progress (ie. where the text appears in english because it hasn't been translated yet)! However, I've started coming across errors - for example, on the link mentioned, εμπφάνιση instead of εμφάνιση. Some are mere typos, others are words, phrases or expressions that feel awkward (to me) or make little sense (to me), though not strictly "wrong".

Of course, technical translations of this sort are not easy to produce and I wouldn't want to appear so presumptuous as to challenge solutions that have already been proposed and used. But at least as far as spelling and grammatical errors go, where is the best place to report any that we may come across?

Anyway, to all those that have contributed so far, well done - και καλή συνέχεια!

I'd say the best place is to collect errors you come across until you have a small list, then make a post in this community along with suggested corrections for one of the people with translation privs to have a look at and possibly implement. (Though there are very few of us, and depending on how much time we have, it could take a while. But if it's an entry in this community, it shouldn't get lost.)

*nods* It's often been difficult to determine which Greek word to use to translate this or that English term.

I've suggested in the past that we work first on completing as much of the translation as possible and then work on making the terminology uniform (so that, say, a community maintainer isn't called three different things in different places) and the wording appropriate.

But simple spelling/grammar errors can be corrected along the way; corrections are welcome!
