So if I wanted to use svn to grab this, I'd use the same basic svn commands as you'd use to grab the LJ code, correct? I'm sorry for being a pain but I cannot seem to find much in the way of installation instructions, anywhere.

FotoBilder's equivalent of the LiveJournal Server Manual is the FotoBilder Help Manual. You'll probably recognise the basic procedure from LiveJournal, though I wouldn't be surprised if that manual is quite out of date.

"Quite out of date" isn't the half of it. It provides cvs commands that go to the wrong site and of course I can't figure out how to modify them, not to mention that using cvs is out of date, itself.

If someone could help me with the proper svn commands, I'd be most grateful. Thanks.

Fotobilder uses the same tools that LiveJournal does for the checkout process, so you should in theory be able to follow LiveJournal's instructions aside from checking out the fotobilder repository rather than the livejournal one, and using the multicvs.conf file from fotobilder rather than livejournal.

I think that should get you most of the way there, at least. I've not looked at Fotobilder for at least a couple of years so I can't really offer much more than this I'm afraid.

Thank you so much for the help, it's greatly appreciated.

Now, I have another problem.

I have everything set up (Perlbal, MogileFS specifically) and I'm happily going through the setup for FotoBilder.

I keep getting segmentation faults when I try to run checkconfig.pl or update-db.pl. Any ideas why? Thanks.

I've never had seg faults running those, so don't really have any ideas on that unfortunately.
