Embedding Media
Recently one of my users tried to embed media into a journal post and it gave them some error, in any case it did not work. They were using Windows Vista with Internet Explorer 7. So I tried it on OS X with FireFox and it still didn't work, it gave me an error message like, "URL is not valid".
Is there any sort of extra configuration I have to do to get embed videos from liek YouTube or Photobucket working?
Thank you!
Update: Alright, I got somewhere, I found a post in
lj_everywhere (http://community.livejournal.com/lj_ev erywhere/241503.html) going into the issue.
So I have got it working as far as I can tell, I was able embed the new Budwiser horse commercial (heh heh heh) from YouTube and it appears to be working fine.
Something that didn't work for me from the lj_everywhere is adding the, ^embed$ to my protected usernames.
My line was something like:
@PROTECTED_USERNAMES = ("^ex_", "^lj_", "^embed$");
Unfortunately that borked my system so I removed it and made it go back to what it normally was, what did I do wrong there?
