This community is intended to be a safe place to discuss the liturgical life and traditions of the great faith traditions ... which include the Catholic Communion, Anglican Communion, Lutherans, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Judaism (Others are welcome of course). If you want to discuss the theology behind our liturgies or even just share your thoughts or passions for certain practices or rituals, this is the place. There are many different levels to understand liturgy and all of them are important.
All of our traditions have a great deal in common. Very early on in our shared history, Christians and Jews worshipped together. As time went on, we went our separate ways but the shared roots have remained. The heart of the Christian Liturgy is essentially Jewish. All of our Eucharistic traditions have been derived from the ritual celebration of the feast of Passover. Within the history of Christianity, there has been and is a tremendous amount of legitimate diversity in our theology and liturgy.
The point of this community is to exchange thoughts, ideas and questions about our rituals, traditions and our history. I would hope it would go without saying but I will do it anyways --> We do not want to condemn each other here ... there has already been too much of that in our past. Rather, this forum shall operate under the guiding principles of toleration and respect for one another. In the end, diversity, not uniformity, helps make great liturgy and broadens our understanding of our Creator.
Of course there are certain things that will not be allowed in this community:
If you don't play well with others, this is not the place for you.

Of course there are certain things that will not be allowed in this community:
- trolls and trolling
- intentionally provocative or demeaning comments
- flames and name-calling
- SPAM of any sort including chain letters, online petitions, and the like posts and comments that are disrespectful (using a fairly loose definition) toward any of our Liturgical Traditions
- attempts to proselytize
- harassing or belittling other valid religious traditions
If you don't play well with others, this is not the place for you.
