Journalist dies in unexplained fire

Police are investigating the death of a middle-aged man whose body was found in a local holiday cottage following a fire in the early hours. Firefighters were called to the building at 0150 BST on Wednesday after a passer-by spotted flames coming through the roof.

The man, who has been named as former Suga Rape journalist Daniel Ashcroft, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Det Insp Aaron Phillips, from Cumbria Police, said: "A post-mortem will be held to establish the cause of death and together with the fire service we will be investigating how the fire started.

"Until we have completed these inquiries it will be treated as an unexplained fire."

The fire service say they do not yet know how it started. However, sources within the department are linking it to a recent arson attack on a museum in South London.

Seeing as our new-and-improved Head of the Board can't seem to get his arse into gear, I suppose it's up to me, as usual, to save the day. I don't know why I bothered quitting in the first place. Everything falls apart without my lightning-quick touch.

There's weird shit going on all over, and I'd like a list of it all in one place. What kind of unexpected (usually magical) strangeness have you all been experiencing? And your friends and close relations - I'm not sure if this is reserved to Leashers or not.

For my part, I've had nothing odd since the audit, I don't think.

Anyone else?

subject: PARTY!

Saturday 1st September. Saturday 1st of fucking September!

Make a note, jot it down, tattoo it on your face, I don't fucking care, but do not forget it, yeah? For that day will go down in history!

Because Saturday 1st September is the opening of Trashbat Museum.

And what is TBM? I shall share: it is cool; it is culture; it is history; it is the Trashbat. TBM is, in short, a homage to Trashbat website, Trashbat culture and the Trashbat years 2004-2005. It is a drop of history square in the middle of now.

The bash goes down at 6 pm Saturday 1st September at Trashbat HQ on Textile Street, Hoxditch, London. Dress code is cool, drinks are free and fun is mandatory. Turn up and get startled: remember the past, cool it up for the present and preserve it for the future.

Peace and fucking. Believe.
