Reasons People Should Post More Lists

01) This is a community about lists. duh.
02) This community will fail if we don't.
03) Lists are spiritual, and will make you holy. Like the Swiss.
04) Don't ask what listyfied can do for you, ask what you can do for Listyfied!
05) Last night I had a dream about teaching Amy to tango.
06) It's a gouda thing to do.
07) Lists are like burritos, too much is not enough!
08) I'm horrible at making analogies, and it will help cure me.
09) I'll stop making cheesy jokes that aren't in good taste.
10) Life is like a box of chocolate.
11) This is eleventh on the list.
12) It's not groundhogs day anymore.
13) Listyfied is better than socialism.
14) Lists fight world hunger.
15) You know, it.
16) There's a straw next to my computer.
17) I just threw it away.
18) You joined the community, and should pull your fair weight.
19) Your mom. and your face.
20) It'll make me less insane.

List of Things I'm Supposed to Bring on a Travel-thing I'm Doing Over the Summer (with comments on website, that are amazingly lame):

01. Athletic shoes or hiking boots – For covering exciting new ground.
02. Backpack / book bag – To lug your sweater, camera, snacks, water…
03. Camera and film – To capture the moments! All journey long.
04. Sandals or water shoes – They’re terrific at beaches and pools.
05. Journal or notebook – To gather your thoughts, drawings and more.
06. Khaki pants – The ultimate travel attire.
07. Micro-mini flashlight – To light your way.
08. Pajamas – For restful nights after adventure-filled days.
09. Passport pouch – To keep precious documents and credit cards under cover, around the neck or at your waist.
10. Permanent marker – It’s a quick and handy label-maker.
11. Rain gear – Just in case.
12. Small address book – For keeping in touch.
13. Stationery and pen – For keeping in touch in style.
14. Sunglasses – So you look cool and don’t have to squint.
15. Sunscreen – To keep “the sizzle” at bay.
16. Sweater or sweatshirt – To keep you toasty on chilly nights.
17. Swimsuit – For making a splash.
18. Travel alarm clock – To get you there on time.
19. Voltage adapter – So you can plug in safely overseas.
20. Walking shorts – Stride in style when the sun shines brightly.
21. Zip-top plastic bags – After the splash (see swimsuit).

(15 is great, because of the use of "the sizzle"- does anyone know what that is?)

A list of the songs in my Ipod's playlist, also known as current favorites. And comments.

1. Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
-now that I think about it, Belle has a superiority complex in this song...she's just putting down the simple people in her poor, provincial town.
2. American Pie
'can music save your mortal soul?'
3. Crazy for this Girl (Evan and Jaron)
4. Golden Afternoon (from the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack)
-this song is insane. it's sung by a bunch of flowers.
5. Libera Me
-the opening credits to the Interview with the Vampire movie
6. Smoothie King (Bowling for Soup)
7. ...Baby One More Time (Fountains of Wayne)
-once you get over the fact that it's a Britney Spears cover, it's pretty good.
8. Photograph (Nickelback)
-this is such a sad song.
9. Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 (Pink Floyd)
-a bunch of kids with accents singing...who could want more?
10. People's Revolution (the Red Violin soundtrack)
-I thought this was a great song , because it was sung in this great movie by a bunch of little kids in China, but then my mom (knowing Chinese) told me that those precious little children were praising communism. Did that stop me from listening to it? No. It's pretty interesting...

treat?

Top ten types of "candy" that we rejected after trick-or-treating:

10. Anything banana flavored.
9. Jawbreakers.
8. Smarties (IN BULK).
7. A bag of special "Halloween pretzels".
6. Anything whose flavor is a color, as in a "Fun Tongue" lollipop whose flavor is, and I quote, "Blue".
5. Really realistic eyeball candy.
4. Blueberry/vanilla flavored "Saf-T-Pops".
3. Calcium supplements.
2. A plain papermate pencil. Enough said.
1. "Key Lime" Almond Joys.
(I want to know who at the Almond Joy factory thought this was a good idea. And I want to ask them, "Why would you put white chocolate and lime flavored coconut with a almond in a bite-sized candy bar? And how did this idea get approved?!!?")

Trick Or Treating Procedure

List A: Correct Procedure

1. kids walk up the door
2. kids ring the doorbell
3. person answers the door
4. kids yell "trick or treat!"
5. person gives kids candy
6. kids say thank you
7. person says happy halloween
8. kids move on to next house

List B: Mistakes

1. Doing step 4 without step 2. This may cause person to not hear you, and thus omit step 3, which is necessary for the all-important step 5 to occur properly.
2. Skipping step 4, and instead just standing there with a bag, waiting for step 5. That's not trick-or-treating, that's just candy-mooching.
3. Expecting step 5 to be repeated several times. No need to be THAT greedy, kids.
