HOLY CRAP so Dragon*Con got their Pocket Programming guide up, and I've been going through all the panel descriptions and crap, and am making a list of the stuff I'm interested in...I'm not even halfway through, but I already have 32 things on my list ;___; There are so many interesting sounding panels!!

GAH HOW AM I GOING TO DECIDE BETWEEN EVERYTHING?! I can't do it allllllllll ;___;
Plus I have cosplay meetups and photoshoots to do, and sight-seeing on Monday...fortunately, I've only jotted down 3 panels for Monday, and the one that I really want to see (a panel on blunders in comics LOL they better talk about Skrulls XD) is at 10am, so I'm sure I can make that and still go sight-seeing with everyone :D

So...I got my September G-Fantasy this morning. Unfortunately, guess who has a double shift tonight? Yes, me.

I have not only 80 pgs of Nabari no Ou to scan for the comm (OH GOD, HOW LONG IS THAT GOING TO TAKE ME?!) but I also have the awesome new Kuroshitsuji chapter with even MORE AWESOME PICS OF THE VOICE ACTORS FOR THE ANIME and color report on the Phantomhive Night back in July. An almost life size color poster of Sebastian is included in this issue with the color stuff behind it. I am wondering how the hell I am going to scan that without destroying the poster.SIGH, I guess I might have to replace the stuff at a later date.

Now, I doubt  I will get home before 9pm so umm, what do I scan first? ARGHHHH, so torn because the latest chapter of Nabari no Ou is pretty EPIC but I realized that most of the comm has already seen the scans from other places and knows what happened so maybe it isn't too bad if I wait to scan until Friday when I can really sit down and scan something that long? On the other hand, we have no sources on Kuroshitsuji later chapters and to be honest, that is really the fandom I am into. Also, I wonder if there should be a separate comm for the anime...given that the announcements will probably increase. Hmmm, what says you my beloved mod?

eegh, actually passed out at the computer for the first time in a while. Why do I always ignore the signs I know mean I'm probably going to fall asleep? MANY APOLOGIES to everyone I was talking to, oy @__@

I have a full time job now. Basically a 2-10 schedule. Kickass.

And I'm going to school part time. (11 credit hours).

I'm so excited. Seriously.

I GOT MY LAPTOP BACK OMG!!!!!!!

I'm so happy, you have NO idea. It's totally fixed: it opens so easily, and the screen actually stays on and it stays up...the hinges were broke, so it'd always fall open, and the casing around it was cracking off, and it was a huge hassle to use...BUT IT'S ALL BETTER NOW!!! GAH, I'm so excited :D

AS EVER, I have a bunch of things I should be getting on with, but I just ugh don't. I kind of wish I wasn't going out tomorrow, because my mum's leaving early and I'll be able to get stuff done easier without her hovering around making me feel like I can't leave my room until I've finished my book, but I also want to see gatty so. I hope I'm intact by the end of the day because damn I want to get shit done, but right now I just feel like I'm waiting for something to happen before I get myself in gear.

I got a couple of books by Mo Willems today. They're fantastic. Mo Willems is my hero.

I kind of want to go to sleep but if I do, my mum's going to come in here and ask me why I'm not writing. I might do it anyway rrgh


... I'd also like to have the guts to do something to my hair but I don't.

Just an update on the Ohayocon situation:

I have 3 rooms for $109 a night (O_o oh well, $6 isn't really much of a difference) plus tax. Two of them will be connected and the third should be nearby.

I've already calculated the tax and everything, and so if we have 8 people in a room, it will be exactly $32 per person, for both nights!! What a deal, no? ^_^ Of course if we have less than that, it's gonna go up, obviously.

At this point, two of the rooms are going to melodious_me for her big group, but they may or may not need both rooms, so we might end up having an extra room (which I'll cancel if I can't fill it).

So far in my room I only have three people (including me) who are in for sure, and possibly three others. So if you're looking for a room, let me know!! I know it's a long ways away, but it never hurts to start planning early :)



In other news, my fixed laptop is waiting for me at the repair shop! I'm so excited to get it back ;~;

Now I need to call the OSU Football Ticket hotline and see how much it costs to upgrade my football tickets so I can sell them to people :D

The books by 7SEC which I've bought yesterday via SMJ are up again for auction now on Yahoo! Japan. I was like: "WTH?!" and went to check what happened to my auction...
Seems like the seller even though I've already won the books canceled the bid because SMJ is a deputy service.... that's... ouch...

I don't mind so much about the doujinshi since I'll get them somewhere else for sure but...

I fucking hate my high school.

I don't know how everyone else's school works, but for my school district, we have a thing called Magnet, where schools have special programs designed to attract students to come to that school even if they are not zoned to go there. My school's program is Research and Technology, it basically requires you to take a computer class every year. The thing is, my sophomore year, I was taken out of Health in order to take my magnet class. If I was never taken out of Health, I would have not only that class taken care of, but I would have taken Speech the second semester, and both Health and Speech are classes required to graduate. Now I'm a senior and I'm more than likely going to be in a class full of underclassman, which I am fine with, but not when it leaves me with a choice that is just too fucking difficult for me to take right now. My school schedule right now looks like this:

1 - AP Calculus (2 semesters)
2 - AP Economics* (2 semesters)
3 - AP Government (1 semester)
4 - Band (2 semester)
5 - Jazz Band (2 semesters)
6 - AP English (2 semesters)
7 - Office* (1 semester)
8 - Marching Band (2 semesters)

In order for me to go to school with my schedule like this, I need to get out of magnet since I am not zoned to my school. My family and I have already applied for a space available transfer which will allow me to go to my school if there is room. If I get rejected for the transfer, here is how my schedule will look like like:

1 - AP Calculus (2 semesters)
2 - Advanced BCIS (2 semesters)
3 - AP Government (1 semester)
4 - Band (2 semester)
5 - Jazz Band (2 semesters)
6 - AP English (2 semesters)
7 - Economics (1 semester)
8 - Marching Band (2 semesters)

PROS TO ME STAYING IN MAGNET:
- I get a cord for when I graduate
- I graduate as a magnet student
- I get to goof off in the computer class, which is a dual credit class that gives me both high school and college credit if I pass the class

CONS TO ME STAYING IN MAGNET:
- Regular Eco, which means I will get bored, will possibly fall asleep in the class, and still get an A.....is that really a con?
- Might have to give up the Jazz Band class if I still want to take AP Eco, which is a class I have never taken, makes my workload lighter, and would make being in the school's jazz band a lot easier than just going to after school practice.
- I get a computer class just teaches you about Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, programs I've known how to use since I was in 6th grade, and the college credit is only good at the University of Houston or Houston Community College

PROS TO ME GETTING OUT OF MAGNET:
- AP Eco class, which will challenge me, teach me both Micro and Macro Economics, allow me to "play" the stock market and allow me the chance to get college credit through the AP exam
- I get the Jazz band class
- NO FUCKING COMPUTER CLASS WHERE THE TEACHER TEACHES LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS, case in point, one computer teacher (my freshman year one) was teaching us Word and said something along the lines of "Now you see where it says Times New Roman? Well, if you click on that arrow, a list drops down of a lot of other different words. Those are fonts. A font changes the style of the type." ;; She got hit in the head with a mouseball later that year, which prompted the school to get optical mice. xD

CONS TO ME GETTING OUT OF MAGNET:
- I wasted three years in computer classes
- eiwjfajdfj THREE AP CLASSES IN ONE DAY
- I don't get to be a magnet graduate or get the cord

Who all is rooming with me for next Ohayocon? It's January 30-Feb 1st or something like that, and I'll be getting rooms for Friday and Saturday nights. I usually put 8 people in the rooms, which are $103 a night (at the Hyatt). Be advised there is no alcohol and sex and all that in the room.

I just need to get a preliminary count of people so I know how many rooms to get. So far I'm at 3 rooms, believe it or not ^^;

Just finished reading it...

I have never ever cried so desperately over a book in my life. And I've cried pretty desperately over books for as long as I can remember. A Lantern in Her Hand, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Good Earth, Les Miserables, and so many others. I thought I would never cry harder than I did when I finished To Kill a Mockingbird, and I bawled for half an hour for that book.

But The Book Thief had me crying and gasping for breath so much that it was as if I was having another panic attack - my body clamped up, my ears were ringing, and millions of needles were pricking me at once. As soon as I calmed myself down enough to release the tension in my body the wailing started up again. Before the attack set in I had to put the book down since I was crying so hard. My head is throbbing and tears are still falling as I type. The novel is divided into a prologue, ten books, and an epilogue, and I bawled throughout the entirety of books eight and ten. The early parts of the book were filled with wonderful humor and scenes, and some of that was speckled in the later parts as well. But as any war story, the grimness sinks its fingers deeper into the plot and Markus Zusak did an exceptional job with how it took over in the book.

I'm so cold and hollow right now. This book.... oh it's so brilliant and heart-wrenching. I'm so happy to have my interest piqued by it.

It makes me want to write.

It makes me never ever want to part with any of my books.

It makes me want to treasure each one, to know its contents by heart - each one of them.

I've always said that Pride and Prejudice and A Lantern In Her Hand were my favorite books, and that I could never choose between them. But now I think both of them are just behind The Book Thief.

I have a strong suspicion that only I will actually find this funny, but really, it is quite uncanny how much of everyday Twilight Town life relies on being able to hit stuff.

My summer has been VERY uneventful. I mostly did the normal summer things I always do, lay around inside with the AC on (when it was needed) and avoid the sun like a vampire.

I did apply for a job at Toysrus but I was rejected because of my lack of experince/qualftions. Which did suck a little but I got over it. I believe if I didn't move around so much when I was 16-17-18 I would have had a job then and might have gotten the toysrus job.

I've been catching what I can of the olympics online since cable is still turned off. I plan to check out a little more later on today. I also need to iron clothes, give Fluffy a bath and clean my room. I really hope I can at least wash the cat and iron my clothes today. Cleaning my room might not happen since I've been saying I'd clean it for about 2 week now. I did pick up the magazines and books off the floor a few days ago so it does look a little better. But it still needs a real cleaning to look even better.

eewww, my drink leaked and now my bag is full of yoghurt.

I hope I don't have to get a new bag. It'd be hard to find another one that's both quite so obnoxiously bright orange and quite so covered in zips. :C

In other news my phone is maddeningly annoying. I can't find the charger anywhere, but the alarm's still going off, which means that if I press the button to stop the alarm it just goes onto snooze and the phone turns back off, so I can't change the settings or anything to make it stop doing that every five minutes. DON'T MAKE ME TAKE YOUR BATTERY OUT AGAIN >C
