A year ago, no one knew who the heck Taylor Lautner was, and Robert Pattinson was just some British guy from the fourth Harry Potter movie. Then thousands of fans of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight book series descended on Comic-Con for a peek at the movie, and the rest is history. This year, Lautner and Pattinson are in New Moon, directed by Chris Weitz. No word on whether the hot young stars will be at Comic-Con but new footage from the November release will be shown. Keep tuned into the blog and my Twitter feed for updates.

Annnd here's an interview with Noot Seear who is playing Heidi:

Noot Seear is no stranger to playing a vamp, at least where fashion folk are concerned. The 25-year-old Canadian catwalker has spent the last 12 years strutting down runways for the likes of Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler, displaying the kind of chiseled cheekbones and perfect pout that could lure any unsuspecting fellow.

This fall, she’ll get to show off a more literal take on her man-eating side when she makes her film debut in “New Moon,” the much-anticipated second installment in the “Twilight” series, which hits theaters Nov. 20. Seear tackles the role of Heidi, a member of an elite group of vampires known as the Volturi. Her special talent is — what else? — seducing human prey.

But looks that could kill were only part of the job description, according to “New Moon” director Chris Weitz.

"Word of Heyerdahl's casting in the second of four contemplated films based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling books caught the attention of his friends. "I have friends of friends who send me e-mails and call me from all over the world," he said. "Every one of these young women feel that this story is about them. It's absolutely remarkable to be a part of something so widespread. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Heyerdahl's character is a member of the Volturi, a venerable coven of vampires based in Volterra, Italy, whose members also include Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning.

"He's one of the oldest vampires on the planet, and who doesn't want to play a 3,000-year-old vampire?" Heyerdahl said. "The cast that I get to work with, like Michael Sheen. ... We had so much fun goofing off together. It was an absolute hoot. Director Chris Weitz's version for this piece is like a Renaissance painting. The images were absolutely beautiful, and the character is such a tragic old fellow."

Twilight producers Wyck Godfrey, Greg Mooradian and Guy Oseary were Awarded the Film of Vision Award at the 36th Annual Vision Awards in Beverly Hills Saturday night, and while they were modest about their success they spoke candidly to RadarOnline.com of the vampire love story.

Oseary, a producer also famous for his management of Madonna, told us "I've read all four books" in the Twilight Saga--and reveals which is his favorite (hint: it was just filmed!).

Godfrey admitted that things were crazy while filming New Moon with Rob Pattinson in Italy, saying "We tried to keep him from getting torn limb from limb."

And when asked by RadarOnline.com if there would ever be a Volturi family spin off, Mooradian didn't say no!

"After the success of Twilight last year, New Moon — the latest film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s book series — is one of the most hotly anticipated movies to be released this year. Leading the production is director Chris Weitz, who is taking his first stab at the franchise.

Q. How does it feel to take over directorial duties of such a successful franchise?

A. On the one hand, it’s exciting to take over a successful franchise. On the other, it’s daunting. There are so many fans who have high expectations for this film, but it’s made easy by the fact that I inherited this amazing cast who are certainly very talented. So half of the time, I’m just overjoyed to be a part of this and the other half, I’m nervous that I’m going to be hunted down and killed by a pack of 14-year-old teenage girls in about a year’s time!

Q. What was your reaction when you were first offered the job?

A. I was surprised because it happened very suddenly, and I had a week and a half to decide whether I was gong to do it or not. Then I saw the first film, I saw the case and I thought, 'This is going to be great, actually. Kristen, Rob and Taylor were great' - that’s what convinced me to do it. And I read the book and I thought I saw my way of making a good version of the book. It’s really a question of whether I can do justice to the book and to please the readers. That’s my job. It’s not to run away with it and just do my version of things. It’s to be faithful to their experience of reading it.

By now, it’s the stuff of legend – and come Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards, the stars of “Twilight” seem likely to finally receive all the little gold statues that confirm their significance in the world of pop culture. Which made it all the cooler today when I visited the house of director Catherine Hardwicke for a rare opportunity to see where it all began.

Since I'm French and studying English in college, I thought that you, English speaking people, would like to understand what Rob said during his interview on French TV during the Cannes film festival so you can find the video in French with English subtitles HERE

I only translated what Rob said and the question he was asked.
I'm sorry for any mistakes in my English, I tried to translate what Rob said but it's kind of hard with the voice over.

Robert Pattinson tells Risky Biz his thoughts on 'New Moon'

Robert Pattinson, who soared to global stardom in "Twilight" and has just committed to a screen adaptation of the fourth installment in Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series, is more than just a pretty face. The actor, who didn't go to acting school, talks to The Hollywood Reporter U.K. Bureau Chief Stuart Kemp in Cannes about how long it might take to fall in love, why he doesn't care who directs him as long as it's a good script and losing his car.

THR: Have you been to Cannes before?

Pattinson: I came here on holiday once when I was 12 but not since. I wouldn't appreciate it (here) as a holiday now.

THR: Let's talk about "Twilight." There are four books. Is the plan for you to do them all?

Pattinson: I have committed to the fourth one, "Breaking Dawn." But I don't know quite when Summit is going to shoot it because of my schedule.

THR: How is the script for "New Moon" different from the second book?

Pattinson: It kind of plays relatively close to it. I would still describe it as being a sort of supporting role (to Bella's story). I think it would have been a bit cheesy if it had just stayed as a voiceover part as my character is a voice in her head in the second book. They've shot these hallucination bits of the film. You're playing a figment of Bella's imagination and I was trying to do it in a really 2-D kind of way. I hope it doesn't come out flat and boring (laughs).

THR: What's the schedule for "New Moon"?

Pattinson: We've got four days left on the shoot for this. I'm going to Italy for the remaining days of the shoot.

Rob says he can't sleep or dream, Kristen says she's the ugliest girl in the world, according to Google.Los 40 Principales Spain interviewed Rob and Kristen back in December for the release of the movie in their country. We finally got a copy of the magazine. Eventhough the interview is old-ish it’s still really good. It features some new stuff about each actor that we didn’t know like how Rob used to make 60 euros for gig in London and how Kristen googled “the ugliest girl in the world” and found a picture of herself. It also feautres a quiz on how compatible Rob and Kristen are, as well as on how well they know each other. It’s really cute :).Here’s the translation:

Before Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward Cullen, author Stephenie Meyer listed English actor Henry Cavill as one of her ideal candidates for the role. MTV sat down with Cavill to set the record straight.

Robert Pattinson’s love affair with his old ride

When 22-year-old actor Robert Pattinson emerged as a big star last year for playing an alluring vampire in “Twilight,” he still drove an old beat-up BMW.
But he has now has leased a new car and moved on from his 20 year-old convertible BMW, whose dashboard had reportedly once caught fire while Pattinson was driving. Pattinson said the old junker was towed recently and that he had good reason for moving on to another ride, despite the appeal of showing he was still a regular guy who happens to be a movie star.

“I was getting a bit scared that I was going to die in it, and thinking is the street cred value worth dying for? And I kind of decided it wasn’t,” he told Reuters.

Moviefone interview:

These days, you can't look at a gossip rag or website without finding some new -- often outrageous -- story about Robert Pattinson, the red-hot star of 'Twilight.'

When we talked to Pattinson in anticipation of his upcoming film 'Little Ashes' (in theaters May 8, 2009), we decided to get the sexy 22-year-old's take on a few recent headlines.

1. I heard that you follow all the online gossip about you?

I read that and thought it was such bullshit. I was like, "God, I sound like such a loser!"

2. So that's not true?

Well, I do sometimes. I used to a lot more before and then ... I only look at the negative stuff. I just want to know whoever's saying negative stuff, and I just want to remember their names. I write it all down in my black book. [Laughs]

3. Is it true that you took a fan out for dinner?

That is true, yeah.

4. Is it true that, I don't know if you saw this, but a source on the set of 'New Moon' said that you don't smell good, that you don't shower?

I haven't even been on the set yet!

5. You know the same thing went around about Zac Efron a while ago; that he doesn't shower.

Really? He looks like he smells really good [laughs]. I also do shower.

6. I also read that you got hit on the head with a sign while you were filming?

You know, that is the most ... I actually got told about that this morning. It's like, "What?" It's the most boring story.

7. I just watched a Ryan Reynolds video interview and he called you "dreamy" and said he'd love to work with you.

[Embarrassed laugh] Really?

8. Is there anyone you'd love to work with?

Ryan Reynolds! [Laugh] ... I've always wanted to work with Benicio Del Toro, I think he's amazing. And there are tons and tons of people ...

(This is just a taste of our interview with the charmingly shy Pattinson. Come back closer to the release date of 'Little Ashes' for more surprises in our full interview, in which he reveals how he prepared for his nude scenes in the Salvador Dali biopic, where he sees himself in the future ... and how the energy is different on 'New Moon.')
