DON'T click the links as they may be harmful to your computer. I've already screened more than a handful of comments and banned two accounts, but if you see any more drop us a comment at the Page-a-Mod as we'll be reporting these to LJ Abuse.

Just an easy and quick modpost: If you're only going to comment for the sole purpose of being an asshole and starting shit, you're going to be banned. I'm positive that's what some of you have wanted - which is kind of stupid since it's pretty easy to just leave - but congrats; pat yourself on the back! You can go waste your time somewhere else because your comments are just as "pointless and stupid" as the ones you're constantly attacking. Maybe even more since you claim to "not care" but yet there you are...

There's a difference between expressing your opinion and being an asshole, and all the mods are pretty tired of letting things slide.


Comments are screened if you have anything to say.

As many of you may have noticed, we've had an influx of vampire Bella colorizations. We've been pretty lenient in approving them as we initially didn't anticipate as many as we've received in the queue, but I think we can all agree that they've been taking over the community. We're not going to ban them, but as they don't exactly fall under the manips category, we will be implementing the 3 graphics requirement that we have for other bigger graphics (i.e. wallpapers, headers, banners). It's only fair to everyone that way.

And, just because we're discussing graphics, here's a refresher of our general graphics/icon rule so that you're all aware:

ALL fanworks that are not tagged will be rejected. Graphic posts should contain a minimum of 3 larger graphics or 20 icons (EDWARD AND/OR BELLA, ROBERT AND/OR KRISTEN) and be properly tagged to be approved. Only preview 3-4 icons and make sure they are E/B or R/K in the previews.

MODPOST YOU NEVER READ, BUT YOU SHOULD

Most of what you will see in this post has already been said....a lot. By us. In posts like this. And in comments. But like always, we have to repeat ourselves. Siiiigh.

When posting...

If you are posting pictures and there are 10 or less, put all of them under the cut (you can leave one for a preview). Don't post one or two and then link the rest to the gallery. It's annoying and lazy. If there are over 10 pictures, then post at least 10 and link to the rest.

Don't disable comments on your posts. The only people who can decide if this is necessary are the mods. Really, come on now!

When posting fanfiction and leaving teasers within the post, please only make them a line or two. Leaving multiple paragraphs is not a teaser and it takes up a lot of space.

When posting icons or fanart, do NOT use the actor's tag. Only use the fan art: icons (or whatever the specific tag is). Your post will be rejected for this; you don't need 5 different tags for a fanart post.

When posting icons, only post 3-4 as teasers/previews. The previews must be Twilight related and have Bella/Kristen and or Edward/Rob in them. And the previews cannot have Taylor or Jacob in them at all. Which nicely leads me into the next point...

We are an Edward/Bella community. That means we fly the Team Edward flag high around here. That includes occasionally, or maybe frequently, discussing Edward's superiority over Jacob, or Jacob's inferiority in general. This also means Taylor is going to get the short end of the stick as well. Is this fair? Maybe, maybe not, but that's how it goes. So those comments some of you like making that go like this: "What's with all the Taylor hate?" or "Why do you guys hate on Jacob so much? I love him..." yeah, those better stop now. We won't put up with it and may ban you if you try to justify it by arguing. It's ridiculous that members of this community feel that they need to defend their reasoning for liking E/B or not liking Jacob (and Taylor as well).

Basically, this is what happens when there is a love triangle. Welcome to the internet and fandom! If you don't like it, then that's on you. There are plenty of other Jacob/Taylor communities out there where you can love on him all you want. Just don't do it here, and don't expect to find it here. This is not a general community where every actor and character will get the same treatment. Do you really want people from lion_lamb running around to Jacob/Taylor communities and saying things like "omg why don't you like Edward here? HE'S PERFECT FOR BELLA" or "WHY HATE ON EDWARD? I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, YOU GUYS ARE SO RUDE."

Right, I didn't think so. We're not saying you aren't allowed to like Taylor and/or Jacob. It's your right to have that opinion. But you're not allowed to complain/ask for explanations from members at an Edward/Bella community if their opinion is not your own. So to end this, I can only think of one thing to say.....

We've had some interest in this over the past couple of months, so we thought we'd put it to you guys to determine if having a community read along of the Twilight saga would be worthwhile. OKAY, HERE’S THE DEAL…

I don’t care who you are -- moderator, member or usual lurker -- whether you want those pictures to be kissing pictures, or whether you like Taycob or not – I think something needs to be done about the way we’re all acting here.

Firstly, we are LION_LAMB. Do you guys remember that quote in Twilight? Good? Good. That’s Edward and Bella. Should things keep steering away from that, the mods do not care how much people want it, we will strip away the leniency of the approval/rejection in the post queue. We don’t want to be censoring posts or members or opinions, so don’t give us reason to.

Secondly, continuing from my last sentence, they teach you in kindergarten to ~treat people the way you want to be treated. I don’t care how foolish you think I sound right now, it’s true, and it’s applicable in this community. With only a few hundred off 16000 members, we mods have a lot to try and cater for. I do not want this community to become ~everyone has to agree with the mods’ opinions on fandom, but it does have to be ~everyone has to agree with the mods’ opinions on how to run this community. Say you don’t like that we don’t want you being rude to other members? Here’s a push in the right direction. The mods constantly want to know your thoughts on how to make the community run better, but if you don’t like what we do, that’s okay – we’ll be fine – just know that nobody says you have to stay here.

Thirdly, I think a lot needs to be changed. I myself will not be letting as much slide past me anymore. My comods and I make a strong force for a mod team but I definitely think there are some holes in our alliance as far as misconceptions and things that need to be changed. Basically, even if it’s something I have to start all by myself, shit isn’t going to be taken anymore. I am neutralising myself as far as judging – frankly I don’t even care about most of the things everyone argues about – so I want you all to tell me what you think. I know it’s a crazy ask, but hey, I’m here and I’m listening, and I may be able to help. Tell me if you’ve seen something unacceptable. Most likely, yes, I will just feed you an honest explanation because you know what, the mods are accused of many things when people may not realise what’s really going on. Let me tell you, we do a lot of good work. So my inbox is ready, my ears are open, just tell me what you think. I will not judge/kill/ban/yell at you for your opinion. Unless you say some real crazy shit.

Aka celebration post for all the fans that came into the fandom while the movie was in production and being filmed or after the movie was out. Post picspams, favorite icons, your fangirling, things that remind you of Twilight, how much you love the books and movie(s)... anything, just keep it about Twilight. Party like it's 1999 2008.

If you came into the fandom before the characters were even cast or a little bit after, come party with us elders~ And for the record, keep this drama-free. Everyone has their opinion on the fandom but this is the time to be happy, not the time to argue. We mods are watching...and really? AS IF YOU COULD OUTRUN US!

We'd been getting some birthday wishes submitted to the queue, and though they are appreciated, we wouldn't want to flood the community with them, so we apologize for having to reject them.

With that said, lion_lamb  is two years old today! In that time we've grown from a relatively small group discussing the books, to 15673 members watching the craziness of the films unfold.

So Happy Birthday, lion_lamb, it's been a fun ride :D


And please no "I never saw ____ as _____", we're celebrating ~all that we've been through~, and there was a time when many people did.

Second, as you are all experiencing, livejournal is still being sucky with notifications. As such, all the mods aren't getting all the notices for the queue so we apologize for not approving/rejecting as quickly as we usually do. If we flood the comm with multiple posts at once...we apologize for that too. Since we're used to checking the queue after each e-mail notification, we kind of forget when we don't get them, lol.

Finally, here is what E! Online is reporting about the Teen Choice Awards:

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be sitting next to each other. Also in their row: Jackson Rathbone, Justin Chon, Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed. Director Catherine Hardwicke is directly behind them, as are Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus, Cameron Diaz and Hugh Jackman. Sadly, it looks like Rachelle Lefevre will be skipping the festivities.

According to the seating plan I saw today, the Black Eyed Peas are the only celebs in front of the Twilight cast.

However, I gotta feeling that will change.

"Let me put it this way," Bain says, "the Twilight cast can sit any place they want—and you can quote me on that!"

With our fave young-vampire-love movie up for so many awards, expect to see plenty of Pattz & Co. "There's also a big presentation at the end of the show for the entire cast," Bain says.
