We extended the deadline from the 5th to the 9th because a lot of stuff is going in this community tomorrow. So if you haven't participated and are interested, go do so! Remember, you're welcome to enter all the contests.

Thanks to seekingwords for the gif. I just wanted to demonstrate how much better pretty Gaspard/Emily is as E/B.

eta: Dreamday (dream team spam post) is also going to be on Sunday instead of its regular Saturday due to tomorrow's schedule.

We haven't had one of these in a while. It is exactly what the above says - an icon contest. Or else we'll have to revert back to the slutty!Bella.

Rules.
1. It must be of E/B and it MUST have "lion_lamb" or a variation of it (ie: lion & lamb, or even the quote itself) somewhere.
2. The required size is 100x100 pixels. No more, no less.
3. There is a maximum of only one icon per entrant.
4. The entries must be made especially for the community, which means they are newly made, have not been posted anywhere else, and have not entered any other contests.
5. Robert and Kristen are not a must as far as actors, you MAY use other celebrities, but we do encourage them for obvious reasons. That said, you can use any E/B picture you want. A movie still or manip. Everglow is a good source if you need ideas.
6. Submit your entries via a comment to this post.
7. For an example, here are our previous defaults.

The deadline to submit is September 10th at 3PM PST. Voting will follow afterward. (Yes, the community's members will be the judges.)

dream cast contest! (CLOSED)
In light of the interest in the dream casting/nostalgia spam, we're hosting a Twilight dream casting fanworks contest! Essentially you can use pictures and video of actors/actresses you would have liked to see cast as Edward and/or Bella in the movie version and/or imagined while reading the books. Winners will be decided by a community poll and they'll get a pretty banner, because this contest is for the pretty~

P.S. When we say "dream cast", we mean ANY dream cast, not just the notorious dream team Gaspard Ulliel and Emily Browning. Don't let the banner fool you. You're welcome to use any and all faces for your fanart - even Robert and Kristen, as long as they are not put together. Want to put Emily and Robert together? That's fine and dandy. Again: NO ROBERT/KRISTEN. Consider them forbidden at the moment, and not in the ~forbidden fruit~ way.

The categories are as follows, with the link to which you submit your entries:

In honour of our 15000 members (seriously, you guys rock!), we’re running a multi-fanwork contest! And you know what that means? We expect a boatload of entries! YOU THERE, staring at your screen thinking you’re not going to participate! Get off your lazy butt and give it a try anyway. That’s the idea.

You can do pretty much anything under the sun.

The categories include, but are not limited to:

Videos, icons, banners, animations, wallpapers, fanfiction, manipulations, fanmixes, headers, drawings, book covers, movie posters, picspams and layouts!

If you have something you’d like to add to that list, then go right ahead! We thoroughly encourage people to think outside the box, and if you do something different, you’ll stand out, and you know what that means…

Ever wondered why we have so many mods? It was so each one could take on a fraction of the judging of this huge contest! (Not really, but that’s what we’ll tell you.) No, seriously. Each one will judge a different section. And we won’t reveal who’s doing what, because…that’s how we roll.

Can you use dream team instead of Robert/Kristen? Certainly (you can use anyone you see as your E/B, not just Gaspard/Emily).

Will I keep asking douchey questions? Not anymore.

This time around, prompts are optional, just go to your respective fanwork thread and ask for one if you would like a prompt to help you out!

Prize is that you will sparkle in the sun* if you win first, second or third in your category. Stakes are high, peeps!

Official rules:

ONE entry allowed per entrant – one icon, one fic piece, one header, etc. See note at the bottom.
All entries must be submitted in a COMMENT TO THIS POST, under the appropriate THREAD.
Entries are judged against others of the same nature, NOT the whole competition.
ONE OR MORE mods will be in charge of each section. There probably will be opinions shared between the whole group to help make decisions. There are almost a dozen of us.
If you are submitting a graphic, upload it to an image hosting site, like photobucket, imageshack, tinypic. Don’t use one with inappropriate ads.
If you are submitting a fic/layout/fanmix/picspam, you are allowed to publicly post it in your journal, but you must disable comments, and then link to the entry in this post. If possible, you could also keep it all as a doc/html/etc file, upload it, and post the download link here. Fanmixes could also be zipped and uploaded.
If you are submitting a video, upload it to a STREAMING VIDEO website, please.
Any form of CHEATING will be found out and will not be tolerated. Seriously, don’t even try. As if one of us – 11 active fans – couldn’t find you out.
All entries must be SPECIFICALLY MADE for this contest and not produced earlier or entered in any other contests. On that note, you don’t have to mention LL anywhere, because this is not for the comm.
And lastly and most importantly:
ALL ENTRIES MUST MUST MUST BE E/B.
