Knoxville Premiere for New Moon?
I didn't see this posted, but according to a local Knoxville, TN paper, The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be premiering in Knoxville. No further details known, although the article assures that the location is confirmed.

The dawn of a new "Twilight" will bring star power to Knoxville this November when "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," the sequel to the 2008 breakout film "Twilight," is premiered at Regal Cinemas' Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek in advance of its scheduled Nov. 20 release.

Although confirmation of the Knoxville premiere of the movie is set, several key details are yet to be determined, including ticket prices, just which star or stars of the movie will come to town, and even the date of the event.

"I'm hoping to have the details pinned down within 30 to 60 days," said Greg Dunn, chief operating officer of Regal Entertainment Group.


(What sucks is that I would normally be able to drive to Knoxville in no time, but college might make things difficult... XD)

I am sure there will still be a premiere in LA or NY, this theatre does this every year for a children's charity. Like a couple years ago they premiered Talladega Nights and Will Ferrell came, and then they did Dukes of Hazzard and Jessica Simpson, Johnny Knoxville, and Sean William Scott made appearances, etc...

Guys, what's happening in Knoxville is not a premiere in the sense that the studio is behind it and will send the cast there. It's really more of an "opening", and "in advance" of its release date could mean just one day before--which is still cool, don't get me wrong. But Rob and Kristen aint going to be walking the carpet, if that's what you're thinking.

well, you don't know this for sure.

the article says that they usually send out cast members for the premiere, and it's usually the top billed ones. (cuba gooding jr. for radio, brendan fraser for journey to the center of the earth, etc..)

i'm not saying it will definitely be kristen and rob there, but i think we can probably expect to see some cast member(s)

Well that sucks for me, I live in California, no such luck of getting to go to Knoxville, just for new moon, guess I'll just have to settle for my local theater...*sigh* Though Im happy people around there get to see rob and kris(if they go). Im so jealous of the people who get to see them!=]

If this is true, then it makes me kind of sad because I like it when it's at some big LA event thingy... I mean it's effin' Los Angeles. I'm neither in LA or Knoxville or anywhere near those two locations so meh.

Tennessee ♥ If they did it anywhere in, Tennessee it should be Nashville, not Knoxville. That's the smarter choice since it's like the Hollywood of the south.

I'm an hour away from Knoxville, but in November I will be three hours away from there since I will be away a college. But I will gladly miss classes to go to this if Rob is there (which I kind of doubt).
