"Ron, everyone loves Ron. I mean, who doesn’t like Ron…"
JKRowling, in her last interview, 4TH March 2008. The idea for this picture came to me after I had seen a photo of a man holding a little baby, in internet. I had thought "it would be nice to see Ron and Hugo like this". So, as I’m "moved" by "personal pleasure" when I´m doing fanart, I made this scene of an intimate moment between dad and son.

spidergirl30 about the idea of she writes something to post with the image. I had asked her in a happy way: "Uhn, I tried to make something different on the background, an abstract effect, which I really like the result, with the contrast of the blue and orange colors, but it looks like Ron is in the shower with Hugo since both are naked!"! :D
In my opinion, Monica is one of the best writers about simple moments of my favorites characters. She could transform them in beautiful stories and memories, and I think this is extremely difficult. Again, she surprised me with this one! What she gave me in return was totally different of my funny suggestion: a wonderful drabble about that kind of inner thoughts, talk, that I think all parents have with themselves inside their minds! And, well, these could be the thoughts of Ron while he was giving a bath on his son, too! :D
Ok, the same subject again: the things that are making me reflect about to continue to do fanart.
You´ll notice that the drawing is dated November 2007. I decided to post only now, because this lovely work of Monica can´t be missed and also because of our community

the_hp_love March Challenge about Ron. As you can imagine, I was a little bit reluctant in to show it.
Like I said so many times here and you all know (and might be tired to listen), I like to do portraits(yes, right, in a different way they should be), and that is what I think I can do best. Not that I can´t use another way to express myself by drawings, but this I can feel, it is the best way I can do it.
My friends, fanartists and writers should know what I´m talking about. You can be a good portrait drawer but not a good cartoon one, or a good story writer and not a very good poet. Not every musician is a composer. It´s wrong to think we can do everything well in the media we chose to express ourselves. This is just for a few lucky ones.
So I was reluctant because, well, this drawing I´m posting today is the kind of work that, how can I say… scares me!
Scares me because it shows me what I can do and what not everybody understand, since the thing I´m hearing most in the last times in the comments I got in some sites, is "although she made them look like the actors", bla bla bla... People that think this is the main thing about my art, don´t even taking their time to look the drawings in an artistic way, watching the technique, composition, ideas, etc (well, how often do this happen in fanart?).
Yes, I made them like this, it fills the "space" of my imagination (and I think of a lot of HP fans). And if I´m wrong, (what I have the certain I´m not), "throw me the first stone", but like Lavoisier said "in art and nature, nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed!":
Every artist uses references!.
This one is the transformation of that first picture I had seen in the internet and I think I can say it is, as all my work, the transformation of JKR´s working as also, one of the actors, too! And Monica´s drabble is the one that came of my picture!
