When this piece by Jacob Chabot came in, I was all over it. The colors, the drawing, the blocky people...he brings the trials of the Prince of All Cosmos to life in every shade of awesome! (Poor Prince...)

I thought about putting this behind a cut, for image size, but the truth is...who can complain about such a glorious image gracing their friends page?

haHA! that's fantastic! i especially love the panel where the prince looks over to his left and sees the cow, and there's that dog yapping away on top of the katamari.
there's should be a full anthology book of just katamari damacy comics. there would be such ana amazing range of adorable tales to tell!

This is an amazing comic.

The only thing that confused me at the end is whether the prince is upset because the king ate all the meatballs too fast, or if he ate before the meatballs got there. My first instinct was he ate before the prince got there, and if thats the case maybe seeing the meatballs in the background of the bottom-middle panel would help illustrate that better.

Seriously though, laugh out loud great.

Your first instinct was correct. The King got tired of waiting and decided to eat anyway. I had a hard time trying to make this clear through his non-worded word balloon. How to make him say "You're late!"? A turtle with the Prince's head, maybe? It was getting pretty cramped in there...

Sorry for the confusion. At least you made the whole Katamari to meatball transition without any trouble!

Well here is the idea I initially came up with (bottom middle panel). Or perhaps in the last panel he could be outside sitting on one of the meatballs making the same grumpy face with the king farther in the background. I think the last panel would be a stronger statement.

I've seen more confusing before, believe me. Great piece.

Haha, too excellent! Captures perfectly the characters of the game, and even better that it was all done without dialogues. Wonderful!
