Hey there!
Yes, we're still alive. Apologizes for the lack of updates as of late... its just that a LOT has been going on everyone's end. You know how it is, we live in crazy times! Anyhow, we're going to try our best from this point forward to maintain a more regular posting schedule, though a good deal of it is up to you guys. How so? Simply send us stiff that we can share, it's as simple as that!
And since the inbox is a bit empty at the moment, may as well share some odds and ends that's been stumbled across the web. But first off, how was SPX? You'll have to ask Dave and Zack that, since I wasn't able to attend. Though I believe if you head on over to their respective LJs, you'll be sure to find a full rundown of the show, which apparently rocked, and the third collection was a smash success!
For those wondering when it'll be available online, that's being worked on at the moment, so please stay tuned!
Anyhow, I myself was at the New York Anime Fest that same weekend, which was also a fairly super cool show in its own regards. The standout was easily the artist alley, which was chock full of amazing stuff by amazing people. Though my favorite had to be the work of Efrain Farias...

[Sep. 23rd, 2009|06:19 pm] |
Well, SPX is finally upon us! And as Dave already noted, the big show marks the big debut of the long-awaited third anthology. But since we have a few days to kill, how about a few random pics, as found on the web?
First we have a really nice piece by Joakim Sandberg, who in addition to making some pretty fantastic games (Legend of Princess is an absolute must play for any Zelda fan), can also draw!

( But there's more! ) |

| Those Golden Ads from Yesteryear |
[Sep. 10th, 2009|10:41 am] |
Since Lifemeter often attracts retro gamers and designers alike, I thought you guys might enjoy this!

Over at Capcom Unity, the crew has dug up and posted some old print ads* of Capcom games. Check out the Gallery here!
*Kids: print ads were those things in publications like magazines and comic books that often took a whole page to display. They didn't make any noise and didn't blink. You couldn't even click them! |

| Shin Megami Tensei and Zelda, The Ultimate One-Two Combo! |
[Aug. 19th, 2009|05:59 pm] |
The funny thing about running the Life Meter blog is that you're constantly on the look out for stuff that everyone else would be really into, but a lot of time, it's just stuff that mostly speaks to yourself. Or maybe that's not true, since Shin Megami Tensei is starting to become popular in the States, right?
As for what I'm mostly playing at the moment, it would have to be Devil Survivor for the DS (not surprising, I know). And wouldn't you know, I just came across some fine Devil Survivor fan art over at Pixiv...
