I call mo-fo...on myself. :(
I work in a library where there is quite an age gap between myself and the next oldest librarian. There's a break room in our library with some communal dishes (forks, spoons, plates...) and a sink, with dish soap and dish rack for cleaning the dishes afterwards.
Before I use these items, I tend to examine them for cleanliness. A co-worker saw me doing this and said, "Oh good, I'm not the only one who checks the dishes before I use them."
To which I agreed and said, "It's just like when I used to live with my grandmother. She couldn't always see the dried on food either."
