AboutFor Librarians and Library staff in the United Kingdom. Or those that want to become a librarian or work in a library in the UK. Or anyone that's interested in discussing issues regarding UK libraries and the profession.
I know there are a lot of other library-related communities out there, but I didn't see one specifically for the UK. I wanted a place focused on the UK so I can ask questions and exchange information on issues, events, and anything else in the UK.
Please feel free to suggest additional interests or related websites to be added to this community.

Frankly, I don't want a big list of rules and we're all adults so there shouldn't be any need for one. That leaves me with this to say:
1. This is a group for discussion of libraries/librarians in the UK so a post should be related to that. If information for US conferences or the most recent [insane] book challenge that is occuring in the states is your cup of tea, please post that in a more general community (e.g.![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)

2. If rules need to be added in the future, they will be.
