AboutThis is the lj community for librarians with body modifications- tattoos, piercings, & other modifications.
In the words of The Modified Librarian, this community is "a forum for the discussion of body modification in the context of librarianship. All library professionals and paraprofessionals alike are invited to contribute pictures of their tattoos, piercings and other modifications along with their stories. Any articles, views, rants or other writings by or for librarians concerning body modification are also welcome."
It's not enough to be modified and say, "...and I want to work in a library someday."
A few rules of the road:
-Please put large pictures behind cut tags for the sake of everyone's friends pages and to be worksafe.
-Cross-posting regarding library support is allowed, but regular cross-posting is not welcome.
-No posting entries with racist, homophobic, or other prejudiced language (hatespeech). We librarians are an open, tolerant group.
-Be nice or leave. Genuine discussion is one thing, but blatant attacks on members will not be tolerated.
