Don’t get me wrong, I think it is odd that someone would have sex with a dog, but I don’t think it should be illegal. Also 90 days for this? Seems awful harsh to me. I think it is pretty absurd that the government is wasting money on an investigation, trial, and jail time for this woman. I expect that since it was videotaped, she was pressured into it by her boyfriend who is now in jail on explosive charges, he probably had planned to sell it or profit from it some other way. He owned a strip club after all, so he was not adverse to profiting from sex.

	This whole idea of "raping" a dog it ridiculous. If you can prove that the woman in some way caused phyisical harm to the dog, then maybe you can charge her with animal cruelty. Outside of that, I can't really figure out what it was that she did wrong... (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Unless you can show it's possible for a dog to give consent, I don't see how lack of consent is meaninful. At least with children, unconscious/vegetative/disabled people you can show that a person has the capacity to give consent so the lack thereof makes sense. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	It should be illegal. It's stupid since you're making the animal suffer. It doesn't matter if it can't press charges, it's a living creature. It's not like having sex with a couch and before someone asks how do you have sex with a couch, you know I'm using it as an example. I do find 90 days sentence a bit extreme but it should be illegal nonetheless. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I want to reiterate a point that keeps getting overlooked. A child who is raped deserves justice, because one day, they will likely understand that they were taken advantage of. What about the person in a vegetative state, or a severely mentally handicapped child? So we have open license on retards, since they don't really know their rights to not be raped anyway? 	I think if a man has an erection, that's evidence that he wants it (though not proof). It's possible -- though, I admit, not likely -- for a man to have an erection and turn down sex when offered.
