Eminem's "Mosh"
~*~
Check it - Eminem's Anti-Bush Video.

It's a very impressive video. Now let's just hope MTV has the balls to pick it up. XD

My favorite bit :
"Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes, it's all lies, the stars and stripes
They've been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you'll know why, because I told you to fight."

Well, if there's anyone who can provide a clear and accurate interpretation of what's going on in the world, it's Eminem. Nice to see him take a break from rapping about tying his wife up and driving her off a dock while she's locked in the trunk.

Eminem may not be the best person in the world, or even a good person, I've personally never liked it ever since the whole "stab a faggot in the eye" thing or whatever it is his lyric was..

but he's just a rapper Marilyn Manson, producing controversy to drive up sales. in this instance though, he's created a good piece of work, and anything that calls out to a not-likely-to-vote demographic to oust Bush is shibby with me.

Marilyn Manson doesn't engage in blatant misogyny and homophobia, however.

Eminem has always rapped about social problems more than anything. It's never in the direct old school style, but there's definitely a lot of layers there. And he's the first to admit how fucked up he is. But for me, he's always been political and funny not to mention having one of the most outstanding flows in the history of rap.

I can think of 20 rappers with better "flows" than eminem.

Only reason that guy is famous is because he's white, and his songs are kind of funny. He's a novelty act.

Ya know, with a war for oil, it sure backfired with me paying 40bucks to fill up my tank today.
Just as much as the rumors that floated around here that the price of gas would go waaaaaaaaaaaaay down before the election to give BushieBoy a good look on election day.

Quoting Eminem, and you wonder why the left is made fun of.
Dig deeper and get some Ayn Rand, and Chomsky out, not slim shady.

I dont know, but Kerry is the richest candidate out there, so ask Kerry where all his money is being stored and how he got it.

Bush family has been in oil since Bush Sr, was a little kid. Nothing knew that the Bush family has their hand in oil, and good for them, they make tons of money with it. I wish I could have my hand in oil right now.
Always remeber, there is nothing wrong with having money, and povery is not something to strive for.

Why would I want to listen to any kind of punk band when that genre's been watered down to be absolutely piss poor.

I think the point of this thread was that one of the biggest American celebrities is doing something. What's gonna mean more to mainstream America, a bunch of underground punk bands or the biggest name in music today?

MC Frontalot has quite a number of political raps. "Special Delivery" and "I Heart Fags" are two of the better ones. My favorite lines from I Heart Fags:

Fags are great, they've got hundreds of uses
You can see them on TV, explaining what puce is
abstruse is the world, but very simple is the homo

The fact that this thread has degenerated into "your music sux0rs!" and "no, urs does!" is really pathetic. Clearly you posted this not because it's a good thing to "have Eminem's endorsement" -- only because someone in the spotlight wrote something [rather good] about politics. I would rather have Eminem out there [or even Toby Keith, for that matter [omgz if anybody asks, I did NOT just type that]] actually writing songs that mean things and have Jessica Simpson and her no-talent relatives sing about butterflies and t-shirts and pieces of me.

Furthermore, I wish people would stop the "omgz he a misogynist" nonsense. There are plenty of men in this forum who have said the most misogynisic things, turn around and lay into Eminem for singing a violent song.

And, YES, you should've expected this from someone named [info]99catsaway
