Many users have asked lierre questions regarding her moodthemes. Here is an entry to cover most of the frequently asked ones.


Wow, can I use any of these moodthemes?!
Yes. All moodthemes posted in li_moods are free for personal/private use. In order to use them, however, you will need to have a Plus, Paid, or Permanent Account. Please give proper credit to lierre when using her moodthemes.

How do I use these custom moodthemes?
The Guide to Using Li Moods provides detailed instructions.

Where can I host my images?
There are many free websites that provide image hosting. Photobucket.com is a good service that allows remote loading. You can still always find another using your favorite search engine.

I'm still not getting it... help?
Copy and paste the full moodtheme_create command at the Admin Console and execute once (be sure to login your LiveJournal account first). Make a note of the moodthemeID number you are given after executing this command. Then, replace all the "http://www.mysite.com/" references in the moodtheme_setpic commands with the actual image URLs*. Make sure the URLs are valid and that your webspace provider allows remote loading.

*Note: This can easily be done with Microsoft Word. Copy and paste the commands entirely, press Ctrl+F, and use the Find/Replace fields.

Just how many of Lierre's moodthemes are there?
There are currently over 25 moodthemes posted in this community. You can browse through the older entries by clicking on the "earlier" link at the bottom of the community page [http://li_moods.livejournal.com/], or you can view any particular entry in the Memories.

How do I monitor this community to see any new moodthemes or updates?
You can add this community to your friends list.

Can I use these moodthemes at a LiveJournal clone?
LiveJournal clones (DeadJournal, GreatestJournal, etc.) all still have the Admin Console. You may use any of lierre's moodthemes using the same instructions. Please remember to give proper credit. (Note: Most LiveJournal clones still require a Paid Account in order to upload a custom moodtheme.)

How come you're asking for credit?
For a long time, lierre did not require any form of credit. However, this is actually her original work created from scratch. She fully owns the copyright to every mood image. By crediting li_moods, others will be able to find the community and use her moodthemes as well.

How do I give credit?
You may display a button in your userinfo page or journal layout.

Can you make me a moodtheme of (insert celebrity or fandom here)?
No. lierre will only create original moodthemes--that is, no Google-resized pictures.

How can I donate?

In addition, paid time will always be accepted and appreciated.

I run a LiveJournal clone. May I use any of your work as system themes?
Contact lierre about licensing.

Will you help me in making my moodtheme/animations/transparencies/etc.?
No. lierre simply does not have the time to be anyone's private tutor.
