Punditslash: "How Stephen Colbert Proved Jon Stewart Is a Lady" by Sarken
Title: How Stephen Colbert Proved Jon Stewart Is a Lady
Author: Sarken ([info]sarken)
Fandom: Punditslash
Pairing/characters: Jon Stewart/(Character) Stephen Colbert, Keith Olbermann, Anderson Cooper
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: The Colbert Report and the Stephen Colbert character are the property of Comedy Central/Viacom. Jon Stewart, Keith Olbermann, and Anderson are real people; however, the events in this story are fictional.
Prompt: 607. Punditslash: Character!Stephen Colbert. Stephen says he "doesn't see gender". But he can't possibly be gay, so if he's attracted to (Jon) someone, obviously they must be female. Bonus points: Jon/Stephen, Jon finds himself unexpectedly comfortable with Stephen's conviction that he's actually a woman.
Summary: Stephen Colbert might be attracted to Jon Stewart, but he can't possibly be gay because Jon is a woman.

Discworld: "Marching Orders" by Beth Winter
Title: Marching Order
Author: Beth Winter, [info]bwinter
Fandom: Discworld
Pairing/characters: Polly/Maladicta
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Everything is Terry Pratchett's, may he rule forever.
Prompt: Discworld: Polly Perks/Maladicta. Lofty was Tonker's girl, and Tonker acted like her young man; that made a certain kind of sense to Polly. With Polly and Maladicta, Polly's not sure who's supposed to be the girl and who's supposed to be the boy, or if there's another way for this to work.
Summary: Polly's next war, and Maladicta.
Author's Notes: With great apologies to the admins for missed deadlines, squeezing just under the wire. Polly and Mal had their own ideas about where the story should go, and in the end I bowed to their wishes.

The West Wing: "Four Times Ainsley Hayes Tried to Explain (And One Time She Didn't Have to)"
Title: Four Times Ainsley Hayes Tried to Explain (And One Time She Didn’t Have to)
Author: [info]llyfrgell
Fandom: The West Wing
Pairing/characters: Ainsley Hayes, minor Ainsley/OFC and Ainsley/surprise
Rating: PG for hints of sexual activity
Disclaimer: Fanfiction is a transformative use and falls under the fair use clause of the Copyright Act.
Prompt: 846. The West Wing: Ainsley Hayes. Ainsley must reconcile her sexual orientation with her choice to be an active part of the Republican party.
Summary: Ainsley has been a Republican all her life, and she doesn't entirely understand why her being a lesbian is supposed to be relevant.
Author's Notes: ~3000 words, written May/June 2008 for [info]lgbtfest. Spoilers through season 7. For timeline purposes, I set Ainsley's birthday in 1971. I can't apologize enough for the tardiness of this fic - I've never missed a ficathon deadline before, but law school finals conspired against me.

DC Comics: One Secret Maximum by [info]pervyficgirl
Title:  One Secret Maximum
Rating:  PG-13
Disclaimer:  Not mine
Fandom: DC Comics
Prompt: 206. DC Comics: Any character. When you're (at least partly) in the closet and a superhero, it's hard keeping track of who's supposed to know which secrets.
Characters:  Jaime Reyes, Tim Drake. Jaime/Paco, Jaime/Traci, Jaime/Tim all mentioned. Secondary pairings include Ted/Babs and Ted/Booster. And Ted/Babs/Booster.
Word Count: 1100
Summary:  Jaime's secret identity is pretty easily shared. It's the other secret that gives him a lot of problems.

Dracula: A remote aspect by [info]lilfluffykitten
Title: A remote aspect
Author: [info]lilfluffykitten
Fandom: Dracula
Pairing/characters:Jonathan Harker and Dracula
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, in fact I own nothing of any worth… I'm just doing it for fun not profit!
Prompt: 289. Dracula - Jonathan Harker - The ambiguous behavior of the Count toward him during his stay in his castle leaves Jonathan with much cause of doubt and self reflection.
Summary: Jonathan finds his enforced loneliness leads him to some uncomfortable realisations.
Author’s Notes: 1613 words, written for the [info]lgbtfest. This is set very early on in the novel before Jonathan realises the full horror of his situation, so he’s only been in the castle for a few days – it has been long enough though…

This the first time I’ve attempted anything like this, so all comments and feedback appreciated.

Supernatural: Caught My Heart in the Middle of a Feeling by [info]beckaandzac
Title: Caught My Heart in the Middle of a Feeling
Author: [info]beckaandzac
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing/Characters: Sam/OC, Dean
Rating: PG-13 for language and some sexual content
Disclaimer: Sam and Dean and their world belong to Eric Kripke et al. I make no profit from this work.
Prompt: 772. Supernatural: Sam Winchester. Sam gets involved in a high school GSA not because he's gay but because it seems like a place that welcomes outcasts like him. What happens when he begins to have real questions about his own sexual identity? And what does he tell Dean?
Summary: Sam goes looking for new friends and finds something he never would have expected.
Notes: This story took me by surprise at least as much as it did Sam, and there's no way it really ends here. Betaed by the fantastic [info]littlewings04 and my awesome mother. Any further mistakes are my own. ~5900 words.

Firefly: Counting by puritybrown
Title: Counting
Author: [info]puritybrown
Fandom: Firefly/Serenity
Pairing/characters: Jayne/Simon
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: This story uses characters and a setting created by people other than me. I claim no rights to them, nor do I intend to infringe on the rights of their creators.
Prompt: "Firefly: Jayne Cobb. "I may be gay, but I'm not a sissy!" or dealing with effeminate stereotypes."
Summary: When Jayne takes Simon to his home town, he finds it harder to ignore the things he learned when he was growing up.
Warning: Somewhat oblique references to underage sex.
Author's Notes: Technically this is a sequel to my earlier story Making God Laugh. It's not necessary to read that story to understand this one, but you do need to know that a) Jayne and Simon have been sleeping together for a while; and b) the warrants for River and Simon's arrest were recently revoked by the Alliance.
The description of Jayne's home town was inspired by [info]angstslashhope's wonderfully sad AU Stroke of Luck. I went in a slightly different direction with it, but that fic was my starting point.
Finally, my apologies for the lateness of this fic. It grew in the telling, and also I suck at time management.

Summary: Emma writes to Gwen about her new life in London and the new people she is meeting.

"Sleeping Underneath Your Skin" by [info]kyuuketsukirui
Title: Sleeping Underneath Your Skin
Author: [info]kyuuketsukirui
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Ginny/Harry
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: Characters and world belong to JK Rowling.
Prompt: Highlight to read: Ginny has always thought of herself as a tomboy, but what happens when she begins to wonder if she's just a boy? Will Harry stand by her, and how will they negotiate this change?
Summary: There are a lot of things Ginny tries not to think about. If she told someone that, they'd probably think she meant the war, maybe especially sixth year. Or Fred's death. Or the whole thing with Tom Riddle's diary. Well, there are things she doesn't like to think about with the diary, but it's not what people expect.
Notes: ~1900 words. DH-compliant (including epilogue). Thanks to [info]helens78 for the beta.

Red Dwarf: Come On Arlene
Title: Come On Arlene
Author: [info]kahvi
Fandom: Red Dwarf
Pairing/characters: Arlene Rimmer/Deb Lister
Rating: R (very mild)
Disclaimer: I don't own Red Dwarf nor the characters therein, and I certainly don't make money from this fannish venture.
Prompt 15. Any fandom: In a femslash pairing, one partner gets off on wearing a strap-on. The other accuses her of playacting heterosexuality.
Summary: It's not easy raising highly confused twin boys, and Lister knows she shouldn't make matters worse by trying to start up a relationship with her bunkmate. Then again, when is life ever easy?
Author's Notes: Thanks to the always lovely [info]smaych for her last-minute beta! Spoilers for Parallel Universe, so if you haven't seen that episode, this story won't make much sense.

Author's Notes: Thanks to [info]brainofck for the beta, [info]theemdash for being an awesome sounding board, and the ladies and gents at [info]jackslashdaniel and [info]military_beta for all their help puzzling out DADT and the UCMJ. This is technically a WIP (too...many...themes...!), but this section can be read alone. Fake LJ cut goes to my writing journal, [info]writers_island. Rating: PG/FRT
Disclaimer: These characters and their universe do not belong to me.
Prompt: 162. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Rupert Giles/Xander Harris. Xander's been in denial for a very long time: being attracted to girls meant it was easy to not pay any attention to that part of himself. But he's older now, and there's Giles, and it's all so very confusing.
