Bleargh.

So if you did not hear the good news, I am going to Bee's over Thanksgiving. Tuesday I will be spending the night in the city with strangerface so I don't have to get up and catch the LIRR at oh-dark thirty. I would imagine she has wireless or something. On Wednesday I fly from Newark to Ottawa with a stop in Toronto. I'm coming home on Sunday, but what time I actually get back here on Sunday depends entirely on the train schedules and shit like that.

While I'm there I imagine it'll be on and off, you guys know how it is. More often on than off since I think Bee, bless her heart, is trying to give me SOME kind of down time.

When I get back it's full steam ahead until December 18th, at which point I am going home and fuck the department if they go "Buh?" I AM GOING HOME.

Anyhoo, just in time for my yearly OOC post about Christmas insanity at work. It starts next week and my schedule next week super sucks. I will be trying to get to bed earlier during the holiday season, which means in theory I won't be around as late at nights until Christmas.

Anyway, back to next week, I know most of us American Leviosians probs have super busy Thanksgiving plans, but I just wanted you give you guys a brief heads up about mine.

I work Weds 9PM - 4AM.
I am sleeping for however long. Hopefully I will be up by 11 because I am preparing Thanksgiving dinner with my sister.
Then on Friday I have to work 3:30 AM - 2 PM.
And I work from 5 AM - 1:30 PM on Saturday. (And Trish is in town, so at some point I assume we will be chilling either Saturday or Sunday.)

Which means...from about 8:30 PM Wednesday until sometime Saturday or Sunday, my availability cannot be promised. I will be around at some point bc honestly have we met? I can't go like four straight days without at least checking my email. Texts/tweets while I am at work those days will be minimal because I will actually be doing work. If you need me and I'm not here, text me (or ask someone who has my number to or if you want my number ask [I have unlimited texts btw]) or email me. I would say call, but I am a terrible phone conversationalist. If it is something that ABSOLUTELY cannot wait to have an answer to, Trish is the best person to talk to in regards to my characters.

I will be around. I will just be tired. If it can wait until after Sunday that would be for the best.

Like I said, I will be around, I just don't know when, and I will be super exhausted. And my brain may not be working, feel free to be like Heather what are you even saying.

Ludo Bagman's canon says that he plays a match against Turkey the Saturday before he appears in court.

Therefore...

This World Cup Qualifying match is being played on Saturday, May 5, 1982 (December 5). None of the English National players play this day, and because it sounds like a good time, that match will be hosted in England at Ilkley Moor (in West Yorkshire). Tickets are likely more expensive and harder to come by than the average match ticket, but they are far easier to come by than World Cup Quidditch tickets for this summer in Japan.

Ludo Bagman will be arrested on the following Tuesday, May 8, 1982 (December 8). His trial will take place on that Friday, May 11, 1982 (December 11).

THAT BEING SAID, this opens up the possibility for the other national teams to have World Cup Qualifying Matches. Since England is having theirs in early May, these are likely the last World Cup qualifying matches. We have been playing that all of the teams are still eligible, which they all put on a good showing in the European Cup so I think that's safe to say.

The way that the World Cup works, basing it off of FIFA soccer, is that there is group play where all the teams are organized into groups of players, and then throughout the 2 years they break into smaller and smaller groups until finally they go into an elimination tournament (which is the summer). Since we're looking at May in Leviosa, we are likely reaching the end of group play, and after this the teams will finish off their home seasons and go on to the elimination tournament. So these World Cup Qualifying matches would be the last. We can run them through the week of May 1-5 (or even starting at the end of April), with May 5 being the last match. They can be on weekdays so that they don't interfere with our Quidditch schedule.

I for one would like to schedule a Wales vs. Germany qualifying match for Wednesday, May 3 (December 3). Mairwen Llewellyn Sloper can be scheduled to play this match and it can be announced in the week leading up to the match that she is pregnant (if this is OK with Liz and Chris Sloper) and there can be much wailing and gnashing of teeth amongst the Welsh Quidditch faithful. And the Welsh can get killed by Germany in this qualifier.

The top two teams from each group qualify for the World Cup.

Hi guys!

Long story short -- my laptop keyboard is literally being held together by tape. It is by the grace of God that I've been able to type as much as I have, but the tape, it does nothing! ... >_> ANYWAY. Between that and the week-long babysitting job of taking care of Kyan (who can't go to daycare because he, too, has swine flu), things are going slower than I would've hoped this week.

I ordered a new keyboard and I'll be installing it as soon as it arrives, I just may not be able to write those logs that I promised in e-mail earlier or may not be doing too many commentwars (I finished half a roll of scotch tape after the last one, seriously). Right now, this thing is a glorified DVD player and really big iPhone Touch.

Guessing it'll arrive tomorrow. Will update. Just know I'm doing the best I can here. *facepalm*

Hey guys, I made a last minute decision to go to Richmond Va this weekend. I'm leaving about 2 this afternoon and I'll be back sometime Sunday night. Much love to you all. Two-part post, so bear with me. :]

1. My work schedule: I'm working nights and weekend now at the bowling alley, and Monday is my only full day off. Weekends in general are still not good for me to be around, but I'm still of course able to check e-mail. Now that I have officially begun sub work, daytime will be a wrote-off any time I'm in school. And of course, calls typically come early in the morning, so late late nights are sadly not going to happen much anymore. I'd rather not go to bed at 4am and get a call at 6:50am for work, like what happened on Monday. Oops XD

Basically, e-mail is the way to go to reach me for urgent things/things I need to know, as I cannot promise when or how long I'll be on AIM. <3

2. I had this made aaaaages ago, but I totally forgot about it until I was sorting through my image folders this afternoon.

April is busy! April means April Fool's, Easter, Career Counseling... and Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin.

We are all busy, and this post is up earlier than Quidditch posts usually go up, but it's going to be RL time American Thanksgiving before we know it and with everybody running around different places for any number of reasons, we (Kitty, Bee, and I) are hoping that we can get everybody's input about the match sooner rather than later so that there will be a nice and shiny match result ready to go on Saturday April/November 28.

Keeping in mind that the match will come after career counseling for fifth years and Easter for everybody (which runs the 11th-18th), we present...

Prank #2 will be secret admirers. It will be happening NEXT TUESDAY FRIDAY!

This one is a little cruel, BUT. Octavian and Thomas's next prank is secret admirers. We need five volunteers for receiving the owls and then five people for the admirers. Each owl is going to be nearly identical and sent at breakfast (again). In the owl it is going to include that the admirer will be wearing X color ribbon in their hair or X color shoelace, ect. Something that is worn and is easily color changeable without being noticed.

For example, Octavian and Thomas would send a letter to David Brocklehurst from Gwenog saying that she had always loved him blah blah blah and she would be wearing a green ribbon in her hair at dinner if he wanted to make a move.

If you have suggestions for any of these people, a couple suggestion that will be lol or just an admirer or the person getting the owl please comment. Comments will be screened, but we will let you know who will be getting what owl from whom. We're looking more for people fifth year and below, because there is a prank later planned for the older kids.

Okay so this is a little short notice but we all had busy Halloweens so \o/.

The first stage of Thomas and Octavian's Amazing Prank Month Or However Long It Takes Is:

Five people are getting owls addressed from their mother or father or guardian (Octavian and Thomas will only be choosing people whose parentage they can identify, nobody wants an owl from their dead mother) saying something along the lines of, "Your mother is pregnant again / I got someone else's mother pregnant." The owl will obviously not be the family owl so that might tip the child off that it is a prank... or not, as you like.

Heather and I would like to open it up to everyone and see if anyone would like to volunteer to be one of the five. There will be more FIVE ANONYMOUS OWLS type deals in the future, we are hoping for 7 like the plagues.

If not that's OK it just never hurts to ask. <3

Hey kids.

All that time I never had this summer? Well, I just got laid off. After Friday, I'm officially unemployed, so I'll be around! Except for rehearsal M-W and the show going up on Halloween weekend.

I'll reply to my email logs, I swear.

This post is two-fold.

1. 17 - 20 October I will be visiting Trish. I will be taking my computer but I doubt I will be on very much if at all except on the plane bc apparently AirTran has in flight wireless. Also, apparently the quickest way to get DC is through Milwaukee. Who knew.

2. Also. Trish and I were talking and we thought maybe having a post (you could comment here tbh) for people to suggest things that they would like to see logged because I know that sometimes it is hard to decide what to log and it would be nice to see what other people would like to see logged. I know we tried this before A LONG TIME ago but I thought maybe it would be helpful to see now that way we're not like idk what to log, what do you want to log, and then we ask a third party for suggestions and wade through those. This way we have the suggestions RIGHT HERE.

Anyway that's it.

Okay dudes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. This is closing weekend (FINALLY!) of Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, so this means that potentially, I will have my weekends and maybe my sanity back.

However, Kinder, Gentler Vampire is just getting geared up and I'm getting off book for that, so Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, I still won't be around until the show closes on Halloween. Bleh.

To complicate my tired ass even more, I auditioned for another show on Sunday. I doubt I'll get cast (even though a late auditioning friend of mine heard them discussing me so fingers crossed maybe!) because of my already booked schedule, but you never know.

Surprisingly enough, it looks like my summer job may turn out to be permanent BENEFITS YAY, so 8-4:45, I'll be in the office. Text me. I need the entertainment.

It's February, weird date month.

Tomorrow is the 28th. The 28th will extend through to Wednesday (our 30th). In other words, three of our days for one in game time.

And there you have it. Any questions, fire them away. No immediate replies as I am dying from some sort of sickness and my brain is slow to function. (Ask Tina, who I opened with at work this morning.)

WELL my hard drive is a dirty whore, so I have to run the installer disc through it again and since I don't know where mine is anymore, I had to order one from Apple. Must have had something to do with all the hardcore oh wait Aurors can read this

It is expected to arrive in 3-5 business days.

WHAT THIS MEANS IS my comings and goings will be sporadic until my computer is fixed.

I start school later today. On top of a course overload, I have a new part-time job as a barista, so I'll be training/working.

Add in two shows, a choir, and a conservatory exam I need to prepare for, and I'm just going to be scarce. A lot of transit time.

Late evenings I'm more likely to be here, as most of my classes start around 11.
Really, though, I have to commute so I have no idea what it'll be like.
