Chinese opera version of Les Misérables
This sounds really interesting. I'd love to see how they tackle it.

Editorial Summary
The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA) will perform a Beijing opera based on Victor Hugo's classic Les Miserables in Shanghai from May 1 to May 7, Shanghai Youth Daily reports. NACTA principle Du Changsheng said that they will adopt traditional Beijing opera costumes to perform Les Miserables. Du said that NACTA had adapted other world literature classics into Beijing opera, such as King Lear and Othello.
