lj_support, which all support volunteers should read. It is also not a forum for topics other than the quality of support answers; general chatter about the support experience or amusing aspects of support can be taken to supportlounge.
This community isn't for complaints that you aren't getting support points or that you aren't getting approved. Instead, include links to requests you answered so that you can get feedback on your answers. This is a moderated community. Please follow the community guidelines below, or your entry may be rejected from the moderation queue.
Community Dos and Don'ts
- Do not post asking for help in using LiveJournal. Those questions should go to Support and will not be answered here.
- Do include the request's category in the subject line when posting about a request. This helps the moderators manage the moderation queue more quickly.
- Don't criticize the approved answer, or the approving priv's actions on a request. If you feel an error was made, email support@livejournal.com and category admins will investigate.
- Don't specify the target window for your links, or specify a font face, size or color for your text. This is out of consideration for others who use this community who may access LiveJournal differently than you do.
- Don't post more than once a day, if you can help it. Do edit your post to include new links if you forgot them; supporthelps will often go back and read throughout the day.
- Don't ask questions about requests that have no answers yet, unless the request is more than 1 week old. If nothing has been approved, usually that means no priv who is both willing and able to handle the request has dealt with it yet.
- Do post about requests that are 1 week old or older if you're looking for help with your screened answer, or would like assistance in investigating the request.
- Do see the memories for this community to find ideas that have come up previously, tips on helping in support, and common errors made by new support volunteers.
- Don't answer questions from other volunteers unless you have supporthelp in the relevant category.
- Do be respectful. If you have a concern about how another volunteer is behaving in this community, inform the maintainer by emailing support@livejournal.com.
