This community is for the sub-genre of the gothic lolita fashion, guro-lolita.
Definition of Guro-Lolita:
Guro-Lolita is the fusion of the gothic lolita fashion and the "grotesque". Often described as the "injured loli" or more accurately, "horror lolita," this style is characterized by the popular use of bandages, eyepatches, fake blood splatters and other elements found in medical operating or emergency rooms. However, while a lot of the style centers on medical injuries, it's not always the case. The syle can have any injury on the body or none at all (i.e., the lolita is the one doing the injuring). Where did this sub-style come from, you ask? Well, it's origins can be found from the influence of Romain Slocombe's photography (who started the whole "we're Japanese and we like injured stuff" fetish). Soon after, the fetish was incorporated into the fashion and guro-loli was born!
NOTE: Guro-Lolita is NOT guro. For those of you who don't know what that is, "guro" is "a genre of Japanese pornography and hentai involving blood, gore, disfiguration, mutilation, urine, enemas, or feces. The term is gairaigo derived from the English phrase "erotic grotesque", and is frequently shortened to simply guro (Wikepedia.com)." If you are looking for straight up guro, you will not find it here. This is first and foremost, a fashion community.

1.) NO GURO OR REAL GURO. If you are found posting anything like that, your post will be deleted and YOU WILL BE BANNED!!. Let's be considerate of the fact that there might be some young'uns here with innocent eyes. Let's not corrupt them any more than we have to, ne?
2.) NO SALES POSTS. The only exception to this rule is if you have anything guro-loli related items for sale (i.e., eyepatches, "blood-stained" blouses, bandages, etc...). If you have regular gothic lolita related items for sale, there are other communities appropriate for that like

loli_for_sale or egl_trades.3.) STAY ON TOPIC. Art, pictures, stores, photography, meet-ups...all can be posted just as long as it's got a hint of guro-lolita in it. If you want to post your new BSSB dress here, add some bandages and a fake bruise and it won't be deleted, mmkay?
