Welcome to the community. This is a community to offer support to everyone in Long Distance Relationships. LDRs can be very hard, but they are also very rewarding and we are all here to support you in anyway we can.
1. Be respectful to the other members (remember we can not judge them without being in their situation)
2. If you are posting more than one or two pictures, or a long entry please use an LJ-CUT
3. Please do not promote other communities in here, unless they are related to LDRs. If the other community is something you think would be beneficial to the members here feel free to post it under a lj-cut on the main page. Do not put it in comments to someones post, and do not do it continually, once is fine.
4. If you have a problem with a member please bring it up with a mod
5. If you are not a member here, please do not make comments on peoples post. You are always welcome to join and be an active member
6. Just because you don't agree with someone does not give you the right to judge them or be rude. This community is for support so please feel free to offer advice, or voice your concerns, but just leaving rude and/or judgemental comments will result in you being banned.

tinybluemarble, breblo and xjadednightx have been nice enough to help us out with this activity. Everyday they will make two posts. One which shares a quote and the other which invites everyone to share their thoughts of the day with us. Your thoughts can be about absolutely anything. We want to know whats on your mind! Hi my name is Katie and I am currently a student majoring in elementary education, early childhood development,and psychology. I love music, movies, photography, and the outdoors. I have a wonderful husband, named Jay (
drjaid), who has been one of my best friends for 10 years. We just got married on November 26, 2005. He just got out of the army reserved and is currently working for the Department of Defense. He will be overseas for work for the next 16 months. Between the Army and his job he has been over there for 3 years before (not all together). It never gets any easier watching him leave, but this will be the last time thank goodness. I started this community for a place for people in LDRs, because I know how hard they can be and that we all need a place to go for some support. Hello! I'm Stephanie. I'm 23 years old and a 2006 graduate of Saint Louis University. I graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology which you can do pretty much nothing with! So, I'm a little stuck while I try to find a job before going on to grad school in the next couple of years. I got married to the most wonderful man, Christopher, on March 24, 2007. He works at an airport as a flight service specialist. One day, he hopes to become an Air Traffic Controller. We have been together since April 4, 2003 and were long distance for 3 years 3.5 months before we got married. My interests include music, video games, scrapbooking, cross stitching, and just hanging out and having a good time. I love chatting and am usually around so feel free to drop me an IM on AIM or Yahoo. Both names can be found on my user info.
kewl_n_krayzie (Co-Mod)Hello, I'm Flower. I'm a 28 year old Canadian :) currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Central Canada). Dave & I have been together since April 2005. We knew each other back in 2000 but then lost contact after the chat room we met in closed for good but got back in touch via MSN March 2005. Guess I can say I'm glad we added each other and didn't delete each other since 2000! This past year of living with Dave has been great. We've had our ups and downs, naturally ... but all in all, we're together and happy; that's all that matters! I have a variety of hobbies or interests, ranging from Anime to Music to Scrapbooking to Web Design etc ... I'm here to chat and help any way I can, just give me a shout. :)
