I felt really silly giving my naru ocs ENGLISH NAMES after a while.

Naru is Naru, and so should their names be. Japanese.

SO here is how everything translates.

Kyla London → Tsukiyomi Kita
Calem Cross → Aoki Yuu
Jack Meadowcroft → Tanaka Noboru

And I will be harvesting their original names (maybe) for use in my new original whatever-it-is series, in which there is a guy named Gears.

'kay. That is all. :3

Kyla

Her eyes scanned the room slowly. One headphone was still in place, the lyrics of the song that was playing molding her emotions. She drummed her fingers on her desk as she listened to Iruka, perfectly able to separate music from human speech.

On that day, when you need your brothers and sisters to care..

"- and that is why you must work hard. I will now announce the teams and your captains. On the board is where you will meet your instructor tomorrow. Once your names are called, please write down where to meet your captains, and then you are dismissed."

Kyla sighed.

..but rest assured I will not let you down. I walk beside you but you may not see me..

"- Yamato. Now, Team 3 will be: Calem Cross," Kyla heard Calem shout "ha!" at his name, "Jack Meadowcroft-"

Jack said nothing, but she heard him exhale. He must have been holding his breath.

"- and Kyla London."

We'll always be ready, because we will always be there.

She turned her head in acknowledgement, copying her captain's name down.

Shiranui Genma.

Rooftop of the hospital.

9 AM.

She copied it all and stood, glancing at her new teammates as she headed for the door. She knew them as aquaintances. Calem's bright eyes shone with excitement and he was smiling up at Jack, waving. Jack's eyes were calculating, but not lacking enthusiasm. He smiled at Calem. She briefly wondered how she looked to them.

And they turned to her in unison.

She stopped and turned also. Calem was smiling and waving and Jack had his arms crossed over his chest, but his eyebrows were slightly raised as if to say, "You in?"

She managed a small smile. After a second, she turned and walked out.

《〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓》

That night, they lay in bed thinking.

Calem was excited about everything. Meeting his new teammates and his new sensei, and getting to prove himself. His first impression of Jack was that he was very serious, but that gave him confidence in him. And Kyla, well, he didn't know. She was a loner, that's for sure. But he hoped she would warm up to them.

Jack was aloof. He only worried about his new sensei and hoped that he could learn a lot from him. As for first impressions, he thought Calem was goofy and probably lacked discipline, and Kyla was probably a very angry person who was neglected as a child.

Kyla was much like Jack. She didn't feel excited, really. She felt eager. Eager to begin the life of a shinobi. There were many reasons for this, but she didn't think about them. She immediately liked Calem, because happy people were much easier to be around. She didn't know what to think about Jack, and only thought that she would have to get to know him better before making any assessments.

Sitting on a tree branch watching the stars, Genma wondered what tomorrow held. He grinned.

JACK
Differences: Eyes are not that transparent and are darker, clothes are not right.

KYLA
Differences: Hair is long, not short. Bangs are just right, though. She also wouldn't be smiling, and her clothes are not right. Oh, yeah, and she has dog ears.

Plan starts while Locke was growing up.

Jin was born of the Plan, so he's a little younger than Locke. He was one of the very few who were naturally born.

What happened to Locke's sensei: 1.) Teaches Locke, 2.) Wipes Locke's Memory, 3.) Kills Himself.

Locke's mother: Took the "Ceremony." Since Atje live so long, most opt out of life at some point and go through a ritualistic ceremony to kill themselves. It's very nice, other Atje attend, kind of like a wedding.

Ashe's Reference Sheet (Atje Form)

More plot notes to follow as soon as I find them..

Kyla's ear twitched at the sound of footsteps outside the door. She was surprised she could hear above the chatter of her classmates. Then again, and even though she wasn't excited about it herself, she could understand their excitement. Today they were genin. Yesterday they weren't. And today, they were being assigned to teams.

Yes, this was a very important day. Kyla hoped that she was chosen for a group with teammates that at least wouldn't make fun of her.

Calem sat quietly with a broad grin on his face. He couldn't wait to be assigned to a team. He looked around the room and picked out his favorite people, then decided to go through and pick the people that he would rather not be paired with.

In the end, Calem couldn't pick anyone that he disliked. He sighed happily and propped his feet up on the desk in front of him just as the door to the classroom opened.

Jack was a little annoyed. After all, he'd already been sitting in that stupid classroom for quite a while now and there was still no sensei to tell him who his new teammates were. He didn't have all day, he thought.

Really Jack just didn't want to admit how excited he was. All his hard work was finally paying off. He grinned, watching as the door to the classroom opened and Iruka-sensei stepped inside.

Iruka cleared his throat. "Congratulations to all of you for becoming genin."

Cheering erupted.

"Now, now. That is only the first step. Today is very important. You will be assigned to a 3-man team. Your teammates will become like your family. You must know each other, care for each other, and support each other in battle. You must cherish your teammates, even if you don't get along at first. Because they are part of Konoha too."

"You domesticated piece of shit," he spat. Jin snarled, head lowered, eyes malicious. The hair on the back of his neck stood up and his ears pointed straight backward.

His fury pulsed into Locke's senses, and he hated to admit having to suppress a tinge of fear. He laid his own ears back and growled.

In a split second Jin's foot had connected with his jaw and knocked him to the floor. He caught himself on his knees and right forearm, turning his head swiftly to glare at Jin. He felt gravity pull the blood down his chin.

Jin's eyes were still stormy and his nose still wrinkled in disgust, but injuring Locke had seemed to pacify his violent intentions.

Locke probably could have killed him. He wondered briefly why he had not.
