About
This is an unofficial spinoff of [info]lkh_lashouts, so we can talk about How Not To Write Like Laurell K. Hamilton and advise each other in our own writerly endeavors.

Few Ground Rules Off The Top Of My Head:

1. Topicality is relatively loose, as long as it has something to do with writing and advances the purpose of this comm, which is to improve and encourage our own works. Really, really, waaaaaay off topic stuff will be squished, but I'm sure y'all are smart enough folks to know that, right?

2. No nastiness towards other comm members. Constructive criticism is the name of the game. Respect your fellow writer. You want to be bitchy, there's a whole goddamn Internet out there for you to play on. Note that if you get butthurt because you didn't like someone's opinion of your work, the 'no nastiness' rule applies to you, as well. I haz a banhammer. Don't make me use it.

3. Original, fanfic, I don't actually care. If you are planning to eventually submit work for publication, I recommend that you lock the entry so only members can read it--otherwise it's technically already been published, and you reduce your likelihood of getting paid for your efforts.

Those are my loose rules, and I'm willing to let the comm dictate the structure from there. Now get typing!
