Reading: The Preacher 'Gone to Texas'

 

OK, the readers group is going to be meeting up to read & discuss, disseminate and otherwise pontificate over the masterpiece of, very, dark humour that is 'The Preacher'.

Any fans of  Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon are welcome to apply to join us for a reading. But don't leave it until the last minute. If you apply now the library has set aside copies just for the reading group so everyone has time to read 'Gone to Texas' before we meet up.

We're starting with vol.1 "Gone to Texas". We will try to read the series probably in two chunks unless people would rather we took longer.

Reading starts at 19:00-19:30 on the 11June.

Um, you've given times, but not dates. When? It's ages since I read it, so I'd need to dig my copies out, but knowing when to be there would be a help.

Thanks so much for your comment. I'm trying to do a dozen things at once & cocking up left right & centre:D

The group meets up on the 11 june to read the 'Preacher'(and I've corrected the origional topic, thank you!

If you can't find a copy. Post here with your name & library card number and I'll get the front desk at Streatham Libarary to put aside a copy for you. Or you can try posting pgalvao@lambeth.gov.uk or pdunne@lambeth.gov.uk at but their I.T. are extremly buggy and you might have more luck phoning but they do get moved around a lot:(

Pedro Galavo can genarally be reached at Weat Norwood Library on 0207 926 8092 and Pat Dunne is often at Streatham Library on 0207 926 6768.

Or you go down to Streatham library and sort it out yourself.

And if you don't have library membership you'll need a letter from some official body (taxman, dole, utilities, etc) to you at the address you're registering in.
