| About: |  Welcome! Lachryma Astra is a Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children RPG. As of yet, it lacks organization and a straight plot. Moderators are wanted! If you want to apply for a character...great. ^^ However, until we can organize a handful of players/administrators/some kind of structure, the game won't actually be starting... The Setting: The setting of this particular game is very stretchy. Any character within the Final Fantasy VII canon, living or dead, is welcome. The game will for the most part be set within the events of Advent Children, but anything before or after is more than welcome. Such is the point of role-playing. The Location: Advent Children for the most part takes place in Midgar, but anywhere within the Final Fantasy VII canon is allowed for gameplay. Not ready to commit just yet? That's fine. You can make an intro post if you like Obviously a lot of discussion will ensue, anyways... But just in case you ARE ready...here's the application: -CHARACTER APPLICATION – Your Information Name you’d like us to call you: Age: (I don’t discriminate against age. I’d prefer you to be at least 14 years old and up…but I promise I won’t turn you down solely because of how old you are. I’ll give everyone a chance.) AIM Screenname: E-mail address: Availability: How often do you think you’ll be able to play? The Application Full Name of the character whom you are applying for: Canon character, or OC? Please note that Original Characters will be doubly scrutinized, for fear of Mary Sue-ism! Basic Information (think of this section as the warm up for the trickier questions. Filling these out will give you a grasp of your character, and the more one-word answers you give, the more detail you’ll want to provide as you go along, as things pop into your head. Think Midgar. Wutai. Mideel.) Hair colour: Eye colour: Birthday Bloodtype Sexual orientation: Hobbies: Appearance Oh yes. The fun part. I made this portion especially detailed because I like people to be as specific as humanly possible when it comes to appearance…ESPECIALLY with Original Characters. This does NOT mean that I’m giving Suethors free range to be as nauseatingly descriptive as humanly possible about how OMG SOOO PRETTY their “characters” are. I’m just asking you to give me a CLEAR image of what your characters look like without making me sick. I know this is going to be positively tedious for those applying for canon characters, but part of obtaining a role in this game will be to impress me with how descriptive you are. So…have at you! Or…you have at me… o.0 Some things you might want to CONSIDER are: Height Weight Hair style Scars/Birthmarks Voice Quality Manner of Speaking Clothing usually worn, and why? Personality Sketch Whew. Now that THAT’S over, we need to know the psychology of your character. What are they like? What are their flaws, their weaknesses? Be as descriptive as possible, here. This is the most important section. I want to know how well you can slip under your character’s clothes! Er…uh…skin…*shifty eyes* Some things you might want to consider are: Leader/Follower/Dropout/Other Ambitions/Desires Moral/Immoral Code Philosophy Of Life Temperament Reactions This is pretty self-explanatory…just explain how your character feels about the following canon characters. You may even respond in the first person, here, if you wish. The idea is to get into your character’s head. Feelings towards the “heroes” Cloud Strife Barret Wallace Tifa Lockheart Aeris Gainsborough Nanaki (RedXIII) Yuffie Kisaragi Cid Highwind Vincent Valentine Cait Sith Feelings towards Shinra Rufus Shinra Tseng Elena Reno Rude Feelings towards the “bad guys” Kadaj and his gang Miscellaneous These are just some final questions to answer about your character. Random things, really. What is your character’s opinion of Shinra? Does s(he) think that their final endeavours were noble, or just the desperate flares of a corrupt corporation about to go down in flames? What is your character’s opinion of AVALANCHE? Were THEY noble in THEIR endeavours, or were they just a bunch of vigilante ragamuffins with big dreams, thieves and murderers using something great as an excuse to attempt to create anarchy? What sorts of weapons does your character use? Remember…this is the Advent Children ‘verse. Electromagnetic rods, guns, big swords, materia, and any other sort of high-tech weapon is allowed, as long as they stay within canon guidelines. No telepathy/mind control/telekinesis/pyrokinesis/etc…don’t make your character ridiculously powerful. A Fire materia is more than fine, but I won’t allow a maxed out Knights of the Round and Ultima…it’s just not fair. Try to use your best judgement. That’s all!
