What do you do when you haven't anything to do?
I just started in a new lab and I'm supposed to be learning techniques. Unfortunately, I don't entirely understand what my project will entail (technique wise) and it really drives me mad to go through all this work to no end. I'm learning to cryostat and such which I swear is the most tedious lab occupation I've come across yet. Add on top of this that I must learn some dissection techniques but have no purpose for the animals yet - I feel that I am not only wasting my time but their lives! At least when you're running an experiment I don't feel so guilty about having to kill things...
