I Can Never Decide Anything

  • Oct. 11th, 2008 at 11:42 AM
No matter what I do I can never make up my mind. That website just has too many movies that I want to get, but I can't be spending a ton of money. At least they show some screencaps from the different movies so you can check out the quality before you buy. Some of the movies I talked about yesterday aren't the best quality, like the Anita Pallenberg movie and The Christian Licorice Store. So right now I'm back to my original choices:

1. Deep End
2. 12+1
3. Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter
4. Joanna (the story is interesting and I do want to see Genevieve Waite in action)

I figure I might as well get my original choices and that if I'm happy with what I get I can always get some more later when I have more money. This will end up costing me 50 bucks so I should be pretty careful with what I want to buy.

So I've decided that I can buy more movies after this once I have a job. I've already put in applications at some places and I haven't heard back. I really need a job.

Anyway I went to a book sale yesterday and got a David Sedaris book for a quarter so I'm pretty pleased.

Then when I got home in the mail I got Cyrinda Foxe-Tyler's book Dream On from paperbackswap.com

I'm about 65 pages into May Pang's book. I think I like Yoko even less already.

I'm going crazy right now. On Saturday mom and I always go to estate sales, but for some god-awful reason I decided to stay home and do homework. What the fuck was I thinking?!

Now I'm home alone since my parents went out.

Obviously I'm not working on the above-mentioned homework.

I'm seriously a nut job.

So the air here...

  • Oct. 10th, 2008 at 4:52 PM
is fucking impossible to breathe. People always bitch about how Colorado air is "dry" and all this shit about altitude. No, no no no. They need to shut the fuck up. Sure, maybe there's less oxygen in our air, but fuck, our air is not full of WATER.

I am not a fish. I do not breathe water.

They don't know how to make Mexican food here and it's really depressing. Everything is bland, and their idea of "salsa" is "chucks of tomato without any other spice or flavor".

But the pie is amazing! I ate a whole on the other night (with some other girls) and there is nothing tastier.... THAN THE APPLES I GOT TODAY. Oh my god. I stopped by the farmer's market for the hell of it, and bought a few apples and red potatoes. I ate one of the apples as I was leaving... only to come back and buy more. Seriously. Best apples of my life. (the pie was also apple... oh man.)

Help!

  • Oct. 10th, 2008 at 10:20 AM
So since yesterday was the birthday of John Lennon and John Entwistle I spent my evening watching Help! and listening to The Who.

As I said yesterday it's been years since I've seen Help! It is a good movie, but I think A Hard Day's Night is better. I needed to see Pattie Boyd say "Prisoners?"

Athough over the weekend I'm going to make a list of what I call Hot Beatles Moments in Help!

The list will actually consist of a lot of George moments. I think last night was the first time when I thought George was a total fox.

So next week I want to order movies from modcinema.com. I've decided to wait on getting Joanna. I find Genevieve Waite interesting, but the reviews I've read are really mixed about the movie. Plus she has the strangest voice of any actress I've ever heard and I don't know if I could stand to listen to her for 2 hours. So I need help in deciding what movie to get.

I've narrowed it down to a few and I want your opinions. If you've seen any of the movies, have heard about them, or think it's something I would enjoy. So I'll provide the titles and plots given out on the website. And you tell me what you think. My little opinions are in italics.

IN SEARCH OF GREGORY (1969)
In this psychological drama, Catherine (Julie Christie) is an attractive young woman living in Rome who is infatuated with a man named Gregory, whom she's never actually met. She flies to Geneva for a wedding ceremony and imagines Gregory to be an athlete in an advertising poster she sees at the airport; she's lost in fantasies about him, even as her brother Daniel (John Hurt), with whom she once had an incestuous relationship, attempts to seduce her. While she misses meeting Gregory, she does run into the sports star from the poster (Michael Sarrazin); but soon discovers that his chiseled looks don't match his drab personality.

I adore Julie Christie and Michael Sarrazin.

THE CHRISTIAN LICORICE STORE (1971)
Franklin Cane (Beau Bridges) is a red-hot professional tennis player who climbs the ladder of success with his trainer, Jonathan (Gilbert Roland), at his side. Jonathan was once considered the greatest American tennis player and intends to guide Franklin to the high-road. Franklin does not transcend the interest he has in local Hollywood-type parties littered with has-beens, wannabes and think-they-ares. It is there that he meets Cynthia (Maud Adams), a pretty photographer who makes a living photographing people like French filmmaker Jean Renoir and taking production photos of commercials. Cane becomes slowly seduced by the fast-track life and, when Jonathan suddenly passes away in his sleep, he succumbs to a lifestyle that is completely devoid of morality.

It sounds interesting, has Beau Bridges, filmed at least partially at Mike Nesmith's house, and is directed by James Frawley. What could go wrong?

FIRE SALE  (1977)
Alan Arkin directed and starred in this anarchic comedy. Benny Fikus (Vincent Gardenia) is the owner of a department store that's on its last legs, with his nebbishy son Russell (Rob Reiner) serving as his second-in-command. Benny's bother Ezra (Arkin) used to work with him at the store, but he quit to coach basketball in the midst of a long losing streak. Ezra's wife Marion (Anjanette Comer) desperately wants a child, and Ezra needs a new star player, so he thinks he's helping both of them when he adopts a black teenager (Byron Stewart) who shoots mean hoop. Benny, looking for a way out of the store's irrevocable financial slump, wants to burn the place down for the insurance money, but rather than hire an arsonist, he tries to convince his brother-in-law, Zabbar (Sid Caesar.)

This sounds hilarious and I'm a huge fan of Alan Arkin.

KNIFE OF ICE  (1972)
Yet another giallo thriller from prolific Italian filmmaker Umberto Lenzi and starring Carroll Baker, whom Lenzi had already featured in Paranoia and Orgasmo. Baker stars as Martha Cauldwell, who was struck mute when she saw her parents die in a railroad accident at the age of 12. She was taken in by a family in Martinique, and her cousin Jenny comes to visit her as the story begins. Jenny is murdered shortly thereafter, and the police tie her death to the sex killing of a teenaged girl a few hours earlier. The prime suspect is a hippie whom the locals believe to be a sex maniac is roaming the countryside; killing pretty young girls. The already traumatized Martha seems likely to be the next victim but the case turns out to be far more complicated than it would first seem.

I have a thing for thrillers made by Italians.

A DEGREE OF MURDER (1967)
Despite its film noir trappings, director Volker Schlondorff's dispassionate thriller transcends its sub genre to become a more broad-based study of alienation and angst in West Germany during the 1960s. Clearly a product of its times, the film stars erstwhile sex symbol Anita Pallenberg (Performance) as Marie, who shoots her ex-lover (Werner Enke) when he comes to her apartment and attempts to rape her. Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones, who was dating Pallenberg at the time, makes a brief appearance in the film as well as writing and performing the bouncy, psychedelic score just months before his untimely death.

Anita Pallenberg and Brian Jones. Need I say more?

TONITE LET'S ALL MAKE LOVE IN LONDON (1967)
Peter Whitehead's 1967 documentary of London scene in the swinging-60's is a visual treat for Mod enthusiasts everywhere. Featuring a who's-who of the scene, Tonight Let's All Make Love In London is a visual patchwork of 60's culture, seen through the eyes of the people leading it. Mick Jagger, Michael Caine, Vanessa Redgrave, Allen Ginsberg, and Julie Christie are all here, alongside counter-culture artists and other musicians who helped shape their generation and future ones to come. Most of the musical content comes in the form of extremely rare concert footage and inside studio recording sessions, while other segments include candid interviews, strange political demonstration footage, and even a segment on the radical art of body painting! Yes, politics and sex are on the palette here as the psychedelic soundtrack from a very young Pink Floyd, swirls and pushes the film on towards the climax of it's brisk 70 minute running time. Languishing in distribution limbo for too long, Tonight Let's All Make Love In London is a fitting testimonial to the changing times in the mid-60's and one that should be able to live on in the years to come for the young and old to look back on and enjoy. Also features rare footage and music from: Eric Burdon, Chris Farlowe, Lee Marvin, The Small Faces, Twice As Much, Andrew Loog Oldham, and many more.

This sounds like it's right up my alley.

POP GEAR (1965)
Very cool British Invasion rock and roll movie! The Beatles open and close the film with live performances. British disc jockey Jimmy Savile introduces Billie Davis, The Honeycombs, The Animals, The Rockin' Berries, The Nashville Teens, The Fourmost, Peter and Gordon, The Four Pennies, Matt Monro, Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, Sounds Incorporated, Spencer Davis Group, Susan Maughan, Herman's Hermits, Tommy Quickly and the Remo Four. This film is also known by the title "Go Go Mania."

This just sounds cool.

Why Must The Library Decieve Me?

  • Oct. 9th, 2008 at 8:24 AM

So I ordered a CSN CD called CSN from the library. I thought it was the album the guys put out in the 70's and when I picked it up 10 minutes ago I found out that it's a greatest hits that I already own. Dammit!

Speaking of CSN I had a dream last night that CSNY was going on tour again and they would be 30 miles from my house so I could go. Then I woke up and realized it was a dream and got really depressed since I couldn't go to the CSN concert over the summer. Dammit! Dammit!

But I did get the DVD of Help! from the library which is good. I haven't see it all the way through for about a decade.

Brand New Day and Brand New Odd Thoughts

  • Oct. 8th, 2008 at 6:16 PM
I want to thank everyone who made a comment on my last entry. It helped a lot.

I'm actually feeling a lot better today. I didn't have to go to class so I decided to stay home and relax. I think I've been so worried about school that I'm unconciously sabotaging myself. I just need to relax and get my priorities in order.

I've been so obsessed with my tax class that everything else hasn't even been in my mind. I didn't even need to worry since I got a B on my first quiz and a B on the homework.

So halfway through my shower I realized one of my earrings was gone. When I was done I couldn’t find it anywhere so I had to ask mom to help me find it. Luckily I found it while she was down on her hands and knees on the stairs. I am glad I found it since it’s a small gold hoop and it was on a sand colored carpet that’s a quarter of an inch thick. I thought women only lost their earrings when they were having an affair with some guy in his house and his wife ends up finding it.

I’ve been watching way too many movies on Lifetime...................

I’m still thinking about which movies I’m going to order. I already know I’m getting Deep End and Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter. Most likely I’ll get Joanna too. I’m just not sure about 12+1. Granted it has Sharon Tate, but it’s not in English so I don’t know how much I could really enjoy it. I just looked up on IMDB and it is in English, so I'll totally get it.

I’m was almost thinking about getting The Christian Licorice Store. Just because James Frawley directed it and used Mike & Phyllis Nesmith’s house in it. Yes I am that Nez obsessed.

They also have some really cool British 60’s stuff that I’m interested in too. I figure I won’t order anything until at least Monday so I have plenty of time to think it over.

Man I love zombies, and no I’m not talking about John McCain. First I was listening to Mark & Brian and they talked about how George Romero is filming another movie in his Dead franchise. Like Night of The Living Dead, Dawn of The Dead, etc. You guys have no idea how happy that makes me. Then on the Colbert Report Stephen was talking about zombies being the #1 threat.

I started watching my John Phillips/Mamas and Papas doc film Straight Shooter.

It's really well done. I love that when they interview John's first wife she's still kinda pissed about Michelle. The only problem is that it makes me kinda sad since it has John, Denny, and John Stewart and all of them have since passed on.

Now that I think about it I have another problem with it. They interview Scott McKenzie in the recording studio where he was working with John, Mackenzie Phillips, and some others.

For some reason Scott's clothes are soaking. About half his shirt is almost dripping wet and the rest of it has wet spots. It's beyond disgusting to see. I can't tell if it was because he was sweating or someone dumped liquid on him. A part of me hopes it was because John gave him a swirly in the bathroom before he was interviewed.

I mean couldn't they have let him change shirts before being on camera?

I wrote my first paper. :D It wasn't that bad once I started just writing instead of focusing on being super structured. I was gonna edit it and make it more organized, but then I ran out of time right before class... I guess if my teacher hates it, I can cry about how it's my first college paper and maybe get her to let me rewrite it? But I think it's fucking good.

And got 100 on my Communications test, because everyone did, because the fire alarm went off in the middle of it, saving my ass since I didn't memorize all these lists the teacher gave us. It was pretty much amazing, I have the best luck over, I'm surprised I didn't write about it sooner, when it happened weeks ago.

I took my Bio test about a week ago and found out yesterday that I got an 88 on it. 88! Hell yes! I'll be happy if I get a B in that class, honestly, it's such a bitch. Then I took my first Anthropology exam (excluding the book test on Lucy) and it pretty much killed my hand because we had to write two "short" essays for it that turned out to be full-fledged, two-page essays. D: I hand seriously went numb from writing so fast.

I was going to go to the city for the weekend but... I never bought train tickets, or made definite plans with Jordan, so instead I'm just going to chill, get into parties no problem since no one's really around, watch movies and do homework. I'm so fucking excited, I can't even express it properly. But I'm for sure gonna go sometime before winter break, hopefully. Because I want to so bad. So, so bad.

I'm really excited to sleep tonight. I have to do some bullshit assignments, but they won't take long, so unless insomnia strikes a-fucking-gain...

My dad came to visit! It was the best weekend ever, we had fancy Italian food and then went out all of Sunday, just driving around some lake, buying wine and pie. Oh man. I miss my dad already.

Bad To Worse

  • Oct. 7th, 2008 at 10:12 AM
So yesterday I accidentally bent my USB drive. So I had to get a new one. Luckily the old one works enough to wear I can take all of the files from it and put it on my new one.

Then last night my headphones stopped working.

Today I missed the due date for my accounting homework and of course she doesn't accept any late work.

Meanwhile in my accounting class I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing, everything I do is wrong.

Plus my tax homework is being graded today and I'm terrified that I've messed a bunch of the math up.

Then I have payroll homework due today and I can't find it.

I haven't finished reading the chapter for my Business Law class either.

It's only the 2nd week and I'm close to failing most of my classes.

I am seriously trying not to cry right now.

This is shaping up to be my worst week ever.

Lucky for you guys I uploaded my 2 disc CD set of Tommy. )

I'll be on blogger if you need to find me.

I Want Movies!

  • Oct. 6th, 2008 at 10:56 AM

So I found a pretty cool site that makes copies of rare movies on DVD and sells them. They have a Buy 3 Get 1 Free special that I'm strongly considering doing.

The movies I'm thinking about getting are Jane Asher's movie Deep End, The Herman's Hermits Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter, Genevieve Waite's film Joanna, and Sharon Tate's last movie which is an Italian film called 12+1.  I figure I might as well get Sharon's movie for free since I won't be able to understand much of it anyway.

Each movie is like 15 bucks and shipping should be 5 bucks.

It's not a bad deal considering none of the movies are in print and there are only a couple scenes from most of them on YouTube.

I think I've lost my mind because I can't stop singing folk songs.

I'm almost done with my tax homework. I really hope I didn't fuck any of it up.

I just picked up May Pang's book. YAY!

I'm feeling so lonely right now. I really need someone to talk to.

A Stolen Meme and Brief Updates

  • Oct. 5th, 2008 at 11:01 AM

From: [info]kozmickitsch

Go to urbandictionary.com and type in your answer to each question in the search box, then write the FIRST definition it gives you.

1) Your name? Kristen
Slang for "most awesome girl ever"

 2) Your age? 19
"To be 19", or to have "gone 19" essentially means that something has gone wrong, is just plain weird, or is inexplicable. Derived from Stephen King's 'Dark Tower' series. Its true meaning, if anything more than a motif, has yet to be revealed.

3) One of your friends? Ashley
a bad ass motherfucker who who won't take no shit off of nobody

4) What should you be doing? Studying
An excuse you give your friends when you want to stay home alone and masturbate. Also known as 'reading' 'cleaning your room' or writing a term paper.

 5) Favorite color? Lavender
Adj. A pejorative term for an effeminate heterosexual male. Lavender does NOT describe homosexual men; it is solely used to describe straight men who exhibit female qualities.

6) Hometown? Keizer
A city in Oregon who became their own city in the 80s instead of being North Salem. It has the highest meth use in the United States, and is home to many people who use weed and other drugs.
It's full of judgmental people who only respect other people like them. Most kids attend McNary High School (which is the preppy, white high school of both cities) and expect everyone else to have just as much money as their families. Most kids use their parent's money to buy drugs, brand new cars such as hummers, bmws, and vipers, and brand name clothing. Most kids here would fit in well with the kids from My Super Sweet 16.

7) Month of your birthday? May
cool; sexy; hot

8) Last person you talked to? Mom
The woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her kids before herself and the one who you can always count on above everyone else.

Just telling her your problems makes you feel better because mom's always know how to make it all go away.

Even if you fight, know that she's just looking out for your best interests.

9) What did you last eat? English Muffin
English girl's pussy

10) Your nickname? Boo Boo
The name of someone you care about, like a child or your man

So anyway I went to Goodwill yesterday and found a copy of the album for the No Nukes concert Graham Nash helped put on (he's such a humanitarian) it's pretty cool. It has all kinds of people on it like CSN, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Doobie Brothers, Jackson Browne, etc. There's a lot of music on it since it's a 3-record set.

Rarely I'm shocked by what I see on the Today Show, but when I saw The Soup for this week and Matt Lauer actually asked Bobby Kennedy Jr. how his dad was doing--I was in shock. I thought it was pretty common knowledge about what happened to Bobby Sr. I could be wrong though.

There was always this one episode of Just Shoot Me I loved where Nina believed she slept with an  English rock star years earlier so Maya gets in touch with him, he was like this hilarious drunk rock star and in the end Nina hadn't slept with him, she slept with the bass player in his band. But I always felt like I should know who the guy playing the rock star was since there was something oddly familiar about him. Now I just found out it was Michael Des Barres, Miss Pamela's ex-hubby.

I'm almost done with my tax homework. The 1040A form is a total bitch and I'm not done with it yet.

So Voltaire is the goofiest guy ever.

Seriously, who else sits there and thinks "Hm. How would they get around in El Dorado? How about... sheep! Super fast sheep! Haha, I'ma make 'em red, too."

Ugh, really got to write a paper. I wish I could just write it on the sheep, or keep working on this story I started writing.

One: Think of the first word that comes to mind when you think of me.
Two: Go to Google Images or Photobucket and search for that word.
Three: Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results (don't tell me the word).
Four: Put this in your own journal so that I can do the same

Anyway I just picked up Levon Helm's autobio. I find the story of The Band quite interesting, plus Levon is one cool dude.

I've begun reading Donovan's autobio, someone really needs to make a movie out of it because it plays out like the best love story ever.

I should be able to pick up May Pang's book and a CSN cd I ordered on Monday.

I think Scott McKenzie has a beautiful voice and I was watching the music video from 1967 that he did for Like an Old Time Movie, and I couldn't stand to watch him because my dad looks soooo much like Scott that it drives me nuts.

I still have so much shit to do for my tax class, I'm going bat-shit crazy.

Did anyone see My Name is Earl last night? The show is finally getting back on track and I swear that Jerry Van Dyke is one of the funniest actors ever.

Mom's talking about wanting to go to the Denny Laine concert. I doubt we'll go though, she loves him and I decided not to talk about how much I dislike him.

What I find funny is that half the show is a Beatles tribute and the 2nd half is supposed to be Denny and a Wings tribute band. The reason I find this funny is because he spent so much time trashing Paul McCartney and now he's stuck in concerts that pay tribute to him.

The universe is kind of a bitch isn't it Denny?

I'm Screwed

  • Oct. 2nd, 2008 at 8:47 AM

It was a bad idea to have me in a class where everyone has a computer in front of them. Right now my prof is talking and I'm updating. Damn my short attention span.

At 10:30 I have a class given by a guy who acts like a mild Quentin Tarantino and sounds like Clay Aiken.

I just picked up Donovan's autobio and CSNY's Deja Vu Live.

You know how in Futurama whenever Bender has a magnet on him he starts singing folk songs because his secret dream is to be a folk singer? That's what happens to me whenever I hear a banjo. I'm odd.

I ended up buying the South Park movie yesterday since Wal-Mart had it really cheap. I can't help finding it hilarious.

I have so much work to do I may end up having to come to school on the weekend to work in the computer lab.

I kinda wish I could go to the Experience Hendrix concert that'll be in Portland in November I think. Just because Mitch Mitchell and Buddy Guy will be there--but I'll be busy.

WTF WHY AM I NOT TIRED???

Well, that's sort of a lie. I'm only just now tired. After having not slept at all. What the hell?

And I'll Never Have That Recipe Again

Macarthur Park is one long ass song, and I still don't get what it's about. Either it has song meaning I don't understand--or it's just stupid.

Mom and I were listening to Mark & Brian on the way to school and when the subject of porn came up she told me something pretty funny;

Mom: You know that kid who works at the liquor store? The one who started crying that day?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: Well the other day when I went in there his boss was on the other side of the store and he was talking really loud and he said; "You know what I think would be hilarious? Porno bloopers."

LOL

Porno bloopers might actually be funny. I don't know.

I picked up The Band's Music From Big Pink CD a few minutes ago--so I'm pretty happy.

Apparently I wasn't the only person who got the idea to order CDs on the first day of the term, because yesterday when I went in and looked around on the library's computer pretty much every CD I would want is checked out and are on hold for multiple people.

The only one I could find that wasn't checked out was the new CSNY Deja Vu Live. I'll have to see the movie pretty soon.

I'm still trying to do my Tax Accounting work. It's friggin' hard--but I'm slowly figuring it out--at least I hope I am.

I had a weird dream last night that [info]imagine_peace   came over to watch Valley of The Dolls. I don't know why........

HEY GUYS YOU KNOW WHAT'S REAL FUN? NOT SLEEPING!!!

Fucking insomnia. I've gotten too much sleep lately, it finally caught up to me.

I could have slept straight through grammar slammer, too. But no. Bio is at 10:30 anyway so it's not worth sleeping now OH MY GOD WILL TEST SCORES BE IN? We have bubble tests, so it's a possibility. Suddenly Bio is the highlight of my day, I gotta know how it went.

Tomorrow is cold and rainy. <3 I'm excited. I love rain, even though it means I can't straighten my hair and I always look like a mess by the time I get to campus. Maybe I shall bring my umbrella, eh, eh? I need rainboots.

OH! AndFree Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

QuickPost

I think I'm going to order this; I really need a new bag, as I mentioned before, and this one's from Timbuk2 which is a really good brand, and it has a special little laptop holding area and everything. But I dunno. I'm so indecisive, and until then, my current bag is driving me fucking crazy with the squeaking and the digging into my shoulder bit.

So basically, give me messenger bag-buying advice.

Oh, well.

  • Oct. 1st, 2008 at 12:01 AM
So I'm pretty much in love with this recess coffee shop. It's kind of in an odd place, by a bunch of bars, actually, and pretty far east of main campus but hell, since I'm on south it's about the same distance. Funk n Waffles smells loads better (since it smells like DELICIOUS WAFFLES!) but I can't properly critique the smell of recess since, despite all my vitamin c overdosing, I'm sort of sick. Perhaps because of going out at night without a coat? Maybe, you never know.

I had my first Biology exam yesterday and it almost killed me. The only reason I'm not hanging from the ceiling of my dorm (which would cause quite a fuss, since the RA's go fucking crazy-- I mean, shit, I might set off the sprinklers) is because it really wasn't too bad. I sat there like that annoying chick from Jurassic Park when she was trying to get the electricity back up on one of those ancient computers-- all wide-eyed like, "Wait, I fucking know this..."

A girl on my floor got a tattoo and I felt like an old person, shaking my head disapprovingly. It's pretty cute, I suppose, but still. Tattoos are stupid. I'm sorry, but you're totally gonna regret it, saying you won't is just you lying to yourself. Then again, my interests change so much, maybe I'm just projecting that on everyone else. You also have to consider my personal sentiments that tattoos with "deep meaning" are kind of pretentious, names/initials of people who died or whatever are morbid, and putting anything in "remembrance" is contradictory- if he/she/it is so important, you can fucking remember him/her/it without writing a reminder on yourself. Maybe if you have chronic memory problems or something it'd make sense. Getting it because it looks cool is preferable, I think, but still stupid since your tastes are bound to change in the next fifty years.

Also, you can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery. Think about that, eh?

I really need a new backpack, if only because my squeaks. Yeah. It's real fucking annoying.

I spend most of my time sleeping, followed closely by homework, then class. I spend a decent amount going on, though the past two times (last night and Saturday) we've totally failed at finding anything. So it's mostly been wandering, followed by cookies and girl gossipy bullshit, which is kind of annoying.

I've finally admitted to myself that I have a hopeless crush on this boy from my pre-orientation LOOP thing. There is no chance, but at least he's friendly and thus will chat with me on those magical occasions when we take the bus together, or wave when I see him in the school of management. Sigh.

I... should be productive. D:

TSRTS and Music List

WARNING: Led Zeppelin fans don't get pissed off at me if you're a huge TSRTS fan.

So last night I managed to finish The Song Remains The Same. In my personal opinion the first 40 or so minutes and the last 40 or so minutes were the best. It did not need to be as long as it is. It lost my attention in the middle.

Robert is a great frontman, but he can be dull to watch--at least for me and that's probably because I'm so used to watching Roger Daltrey.

Plus I got really bored with Robert's whole fantasy sequence thing, but it did fit his personality I think.

Jimmy is an awesome guitarist.

My favorite parts are still John Paul Jones reading to his kids and the John Bonham Moby Dick part. I think I love Bonzo now.

I must say I always thought Peter Grant would have a deeper voice.

In other news Donovan is going on his "farewell tour" in 2009/2010. All I can say is that the dude better get close to me because there is no way in Hell that I'll miss him.

So since I'm back at school I can start uploading some of my CDs if you guys request them. So here's the first few I'm willing to upload if anyone is curious about the music.

1. The Byrds--Turn! Turn! Turn!
2. The Byrds--Play Dylan
3. The Moody Blues--In Search of The Lost Chord
4. The Moody Blues--Days of Future Passed (2 disc deluxe edition)
5. John Phillips--Wolfking of LA
6. John Phillips--Phillips 66
7. The Who--Tommy (2 disc deluxe edition)
8. The Who--Who's Next (2 disc deluxe edition)

Every few weeks I'll make a new list of stuff I can upload. So don't be shy if you want anything.

Back 2 School

So I'm back in the college computer lab. They've changed how it works, and if I minimize a window it disappears--and I have no idea how to get it back.

I'm looking over one of my tax classes and I'm so friggin' lost right now.

I just sent out a bunch of books for paperbackswap.com most of them were my Monty Python books. I felt bad getting rid of them, but I've decided to use my account there for rock books.

I got back from the library where I ordered a few things.
1. Donovan's autobiography
2. Levon Helm's autobiography
3. May Pang's book Loving John
4. The Band's Music From Big Pink on CD
5. Beyond The Valley of The Dolls on VHS

There were a few more things I thought about ordering--but I decided not to overwhelm myself.

I HAVE to finish The Song Remains The Same tonight since it's due back tomorrow.
