Hello zombie friends!
So I did these quick & dirty; not taking much time to process and crop. I figure you guys just want to see yourselves anyways.

First, though, you get to see me. This is the guy who took all these photos, though I will probably forever be known as the Necromancer for directing on the zombie traffic back up to Hollywood Blvd.:

Here’s the one I posted already (from my dA account) of two of the models from my studio that participated in the walk:

Blurry photo, but somehow it adds to the effect:

The makeup ran the gamut from minor wounds to *very* dead:

This guy has been dead for a while, I guess:

Zombie protest:

Props make all the difference:

A new type of footprint at Mann's Chinese:

The now infamous swarm at In N Out on Sunset. This was arguably the best part of the entire walk:

This girl inside In N Out looks totally freaked:

We also swarmed a Starbucks. Caffffffiiiiiiinneeee:

The couple that eats brains together, stays together:

Speaking of In N Out, our favorite employee went inside moaning "Paaaaayyyycheeecck":

Later, when we swarmed a convertible, Natalia got some apple pie from the passenger in lieu of brains:

And finally, I leave you with this beautiful moment of our zombie wedding couple waltzing at the Mann's Chinese:

Incidently, a close tie for best moment of the event was passing by the Scientology center and moaning "nooooo braiiiins; nooooo braiiiiiiins." That seriously had me laughing.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a blast, and a special thanks to [info]ooeeoo for putting it together. (Nice to meet you, BTW.) I hope there are many more of these to come.

Best Regards,
Richard Rasner

These photos are AMAZING. Thank you so much for them, and for directing traffic! It wouldn't have been the same if we hadn't passed Mann's Chinese. Scientology Center, too, was definitely my favorite moment.

I dunno. Terrorizing the Christian singers on that one corner was pretty amusing as well.

This one kid was trying to hand me their flier, but the adult behind him yanked him back and sternly said, "No!"

I happily took the flier and told them I was sorry for the Amish community's loss. They have a right to make a show of their lives same as we do. Terrorizing them was uncool.

They were actually Mennonites, not Amish, bu I agree with you 100%.

And from what I saw, VERY few (if any) zombies actually approached that group. Most everyone from the walk gave them a pretty respectable berth.

I figured, they had modern buggies for the children and they had computer printed paper. Plus they're out here and their songs were not in German or Pennsylvania Dutch. They're still an off-shoot of the Amish community and I figure their songs were for the recent shooting deaths of the little girls in Pennsylvania. The elder who gave me the flier and nodded at me when I spoke to him.

Besides, Jesus was Zombie for a day!

I paused to take pictures of the people who danced and sang around them, but tried to move out as quickly as I could. It's one thing to lurch by them in character all the way, and another entirely to come off as though we were harassing them.

Amusing as it was, it was along the same lines as people jumping onto other people's cars who were in moving traffic that just trying to get through.

Yeah, it's just not cool.

Incidently, (and entirely off topic) we seem to run in the same crowds (Rocky, Ren-Faire, Zombies, etc) yet I have NO idea who you are. *grins*

Heh, I'm kind of that person who goes to all these events and stands in the corner, relatively speaking. ^_^

Ah, I see.

I was the stuntmaster for QG at the Southern Faire for 5 years, but I quit a few years back. I did see plenty of rennies in the crowd last night, though, including a few from my old guild. I also don't go to MI anymore, as Mark took a disliking to several of the cast members modeling for my studio. Ah well. Perhaps I'll run into you at the next zombie walk.

I'm a casual Rennie, really. I've been going to different faires since junior high school, but never actually worked a faire. I've become more of a Playtron, following Sound & Fury and the Poxy Boggards around.

MI, I was on cast for a couple years. I'd heard about that situation you had, but since I wasn't involved I never took a side in the matter. It's none of my business, really.

I'm quite sure I'll run into you again in the future, but in the meantime I have always admired your Unique Nudes works since some of your models used to post pictures from time to time. ^_^

Most of the car's that were swarmed were laughing, taking photos, honking and were mostly welcoming. Much like the girls in the convertible. If they had acted offended or frightened no one would've messed with them.

Dancing and singing around them was uncalled for. If we lurched and made a few zombie gurgles and growls and waved our arms for a few seconds it would've been different.

But interrupting their service at all was plain rude after what happened recently, likely the whole reason they even made an effort in Hollywood of all places to spread their gospel.

It's just frustrating and disheartening to see people being closed-minded and dispespectful when it is the thing they demand the most from the rest of the world when it comes to their lifestyle choices; the lot of hypocrites.

Oh yeah, the cars that most people were swarming were filled with people who were laughing and pretty congenial about it, but I meant the traffic on Hollywood Blvd. There were a handful of zombies running out in front of moving cars and jumping onto the hoods when the cars had a green light. Most of these were also the same people who were disrupting the singers.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm in complete agreement.

Incidentally, did you happen to see the guy dressed as a cowboy in only red long underwear, who just jumped out of nowhere, fake six-shooters in hand, jumping around shooting and then ran back to his truck with everyone running after him? Now THAT was entertaining.

Oooh no I missed that! Ah man...

Yeah I know what you mean. I also didn't like that people were scaring babies that REALLY didn't like being scared or people who smeared blood on walls or wrote things. If we vandalize the areas we lurch through, I highly doubt PD will be as hands-off the next time we try to do this.

The Necromancer! YES! I called ya that when you turned us young zombies up La Brea. The pictures are AWESOME! I'm even in a couple. We definitely have the same best memories of the night. I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera. Thanks for posting these!

(BTW, I was the one in the purple bridesmaid dress walking with ooeeoo, the name's Erin! :) )

My fav moment was the amish carolers, and this huge group of zombies strolling through them that was so surreal.
