The Return of Stitch N Bitch K-zoo (evil bill stamp of approval)
Want to learn how to knit? Already know how to knit? Come to the return of Stich N Bitch K-zoo!
Where: Rocketstar Cafe on 1502 W. Michigan
When: Thursdays at 8pm starting September 14th 2006
Goal: To help out new/veteran knitters and get to know others in the area with the same yarn fetish
Bring your own project or do the group project for this month...HATS! Learn how to make the Devil Hat or the Cat Hat out of "Stitch'n Bitch" the book. If you own a copy of the book, bring it along! Otherwise, pattern sheets will be available in a limited quantity.
What you'll need to make the hat...
-size 7, 16" circular needles
-size 7 double pointed needles
-stitch markers
-worsted weight yarn (regular size, about 80 yards of one color)
If you don't have the supplies listed above, you can purchase them at a local yarn shop or Michael's or Hobby Lobby. (A larger chain would probably be cheaper if you're strapped for cash.) I used 100% wool yarn from a local yarn shop (Handweavers http://www.handweavers.biz/) when I made this hat lat year and it is warm and comfortable.
Any questions? Email me, charna AT mopedarmy DOT com.
