I got a new roomate. I haven't met her yet, but there was a letter on my door announcing her arrival, and there's a strange suitcase, lamp and case of water under the second bed in my room. Since she's coming in at the middle of the semester, it's likely she's an exchange student, most likely Chinese given her name, so I'm not surprised that she hasn't been around. My last Asian-heritage exchange student roommate didn't show up very often anyway.

The only problem is, when she does show up, I'd like to be able to call her by name. Does anyone know how to properly pronounce "Zhiwei Zhang"?

I was so happy to see them with cracks finally!

BOYS IN SKIRTS=YUM.

Today my school had a pep rally and I thought it was just going to be another retarded pep rally that was a friggin waste of time and energy but OH NO. The boy's swim team, boys' soccer team, and the football team all randomly came out one by one and did a cheerleading routine in CHEERLEADER SKIRTS.

I about passed out with laughter. I wanted my friend to take pics but she was afraid she'd get in trouble for having her phone out. Dx

Anyway, just thought I'd share that with anyone who cared.

I went to Epcot this evening with theemdash, marilla82 and Boy to see Johnny Lang play! I am officially old, okay? The music I liked in middle and high school is playing the Food and Wine Fest at Disney. *sigh* *is ancient* As Boy pointed out, that was the first time I'd seen a forty minute set with only three songs. ♥ the blues.

After that we wandered over to Japan and spent some time oggling the little tin wind up toys. They have an old poster hanging up which so VERY CLEARLY has a vampire death squid IN outer space on it. I should have taken a picture of it, but I was too busy singing Particle Man and doing a stupid dance. Or something. We also saw a wind up grasshopper that is very like something that steampunk!Gerard would make. And a retro-future motorcycle that is nothing like something steampunk!Gerard would make, but that made me giddy nonetheless. ♥
