Movies and show times?
I'm trying to think of animes we could all get hold of or all have and not watched in a long while that need to be revisited. For example I've been itching to watch Paprika again and if we don't all own it there is a high rental availability or at least I assume so because our little carries NOTHING video rental place had it. Next is the when. Saturday during the day I'll be busy with family things but I should be back in the evening. Perhaps we could start this at 8 or 9 pm? We'll all be home so in reality starting late would not be that big of deal because it isn't like we have to allow for that 1/2-1 hour drive time we once did. So, anyone free or have any other suggestions for viewing? |

News Bulletin
I just wanted to let everyone know that neintales is in the hospital after an attack of gall stones. She is fine, but she's going to have laproscopic surgery to take out the gallstones, and possibly her gallbladder. She has her cell phone with her, but she is going to be very busy tomorrow with tests and whatnot. Maybe call later in the evening. And I'm going to post a Virtual Get Well Card on my blog, so feel free to mosey over and sign it by leaving a comment. |

White Noise
Went to see White Noise tonight with Brian and Rachelle. Let me begin by saying that I was primed. The commercials alone had me creeped the fuck out. I had high expectations. Well, the movie more than lived up to them. It had flinchy scares that kept me pressed to Brian's side, and the sort of general creepyness that movies like The Ring have reintroduced to modern horror. It was convincing enough that I daresay I won't be sleeping with a TV lit up with snow any time soon. It was good, and creeptastic. And Micheal Keaton is a very good actor for creating that sympathetic bond with the audiance. He pulls you in, and takes you on that trip with him. I also got to see the preveiw for The Ring Two. Whee! I can't wait! It looks like it may be as impressive as the first. |

Since you all want cute anime graphics...
I need folks to either dust off their art skills or hit up on artist friends, and come up with a proper KWF shirt graphic.. maybe a fangirl with swords, or chasing a bishi with them.. I dunno. Our original pirate catgirl graphic seems to be no more, so we needs one now. Come up with several, for that matter, if you can. Here are the 'rules': - Lineart ONLY- no coloring please
- CLEAN lineart please.. not just a scan of a pencil sketch, make sure the good lines are nice and dark if you must just use a scan, but I'd *prefer* the lines to be on just crisp white background.
- Big enough image that I can work with it, and at decent resolution... something like 900x900 pixels at the smallest, 1400x1400 pixels at biggest, and around 200DPI please!
- As far as I know for copyright stuff.. we can maybe use doujin-ish art, as this won't be a shirt for general sale & consumption- but I'd prefer the char(s) be totally original.. no matter how cuddly a picture of a Sanzo or Nii getting swarmed by KWFers might be.
